Supporters of the United Front for Democracy Against the Dictatorship (UDD) have begun preparations for tomorrow's rally in the capital of Thailand.

The Redshirst ask the residents of Bangkok for support and understanding for the actions. Saturday, March 27, a large protest will take place in Bangkok. According to UDD leader Natthawut Saikua, the redshirts on motorcycles and pick-up trucks are moving along five routes to draw attention to the fight against the current government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

  • The first route passes through: New Phetchaburi Road, Pratunam, Victory Monument, Saphan Khwai, Chatuchak, Lat Phrao, Bang Kapi, Phra khanong, Klongtoey and Yaowarat.
  • The second route passes through: Yommarat, Ratchathewi, Ratchaprasong, Nana, Ratchadaphisek, Huai Khwang, Pracha Songkhro, Samsen, Thewes and Bang Lamphu.
  • The third route passes through: Worachak, Hua Lamphong, Silom, Bang Rak, Charoen Krung, Sathu Pradit, Wong Wian Yai and Phahurat.
  • The fourth route passes through: Pin Klao, Tha Phra, Bang Bon, Wong Sawang, Bang Sue, Bang Pho and Si Yan.
  • The fifth route passes through: Worachak, Phahurat, Wong Wian Yai, Bang Khae, Tha Phra and Sathorn.

In the morning, the red shirt protesters gather at the Fa Phan bridge.

“The demonstration of the UDD movement will be peaceful, but targeted,” said Natthawut Saikuahij.

Despite the fact that there will once again be a lot of traffic, many Bangkokians seem to show sympathy for the actions of the Redshirts. At the previous protest on Saturday, many residents of Bangkok stood in red clothing to cheer the procession. This is remarkable because Bangkok is still seen as a stronghold of the Yellowshirts.
