Due to a technical malfunction, long waiting times arose at Immigration at Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports on Thursday evening, it only concerned departing Thai passengers.

A newly installed control system did not work because the internet connection was lost. The work therefore had to be done by hand, which led to long queues.

TV presenter Kasemsant writes on Facebook that only two officials were present at Don Mueang to take over the work, which is denied by the immigration. On Suvarnabhumi, the outage was easier to deal with because more staff work.

On Friday morning, the outage came to an end at Suvarnabhumi at half past nine and at Don Mueang at half past ten. By noon everything was back to normal.
