A chambermaid at the Phuket City Hotel found a 64-year-old German woman dead in the bathtub of her hotel room last Friday. Police believe the death was likely the result of a pre-existing condition or a heart attack.

The woman had checked into the Royal Phuket City Hotel on July 30 and was due to leave again on August 8. The chambermaid informed the police that the woman drank a lot of alcohol. This became apparent during an earlier cleaning of the room the day before.

On Friday, the chambermaid wanted to clean the hotel room, but was not heard. She asked another colleague to open the door, after which they found the victim in the bath with the tap open and the air conditioning at 15 degrees.

There were no signs of a break-in, theft or violence, police said. The woman's body has been taken for an autopsy.

It strikes me that the Thai police always come up with suggestions as to what the cause could be instead of waiting for the investigation. This shows a lack of open mind, which creates the danger that research will be steered in a certain direction.

Lately there has been something to do with all those tourists who find them dead. Especially in phuket. You would be afraid to set foot in Thailand again. With all that corruption

Striking .. the air conditioning that is set at 15 degrees. That's dangerous, isn't it? Incidentally, without making the same mistake as the Thai police, by prematurely speculating about a possible cause of death…

In my opinion, in no other holiday country in the world is a dead person found so often in mysterious circumstances as in Thailand. Coincidence maybe, but more than 100x coincidence per year, I'm starting to find it suspicious all those tourists with strange ailments and who go to paradise on vacation to spontaneously commit suicide or who die in more mysterious circumstances.

Maja a Thai would admit guilt until a Thai has done something wrong, after all, the amazing Thailand feeling must remain at the top of the banner at all costs and well then no serious police investigation.
