Gray Line monorail project in Bangkok begins

The Gray Line, is a new monorail project to connect Vacharapol in the north of Bangkok and Thong Lor in the Sukhumvit business district and Lumphini park with Tha Pra in Thon Buri. Construction is now starting after many delays.
The line, which should be operational by 2023, has been long delayed by land issues. In order to be able to start construction anyway, the route has now been split into two parts of 16,2 and 19 km. It is a project with an investment of 40 billion baht.
