Prayut ends curfew in 17 provinces, including Bangkok. This in connection with the reopening of the country for fully vaccinated foreign tourists as of November 1.

The order, signed by General Prayut Chan-o-cha, was published in the Royal Gazette late Thursday evening. According to Prayut, the Covid-19 situation in the country is stable. It is now necessary to revive the national economy.

The curfew will therefore end at 31:23 PM on October 00 in the “Sandbox” provinces that have been declared maximum and strict control zones, but have touristic significance and have been designated for reopening.

The 17 provinces where the curfew will end are:

  • Bangkok
  • Krabi
  • Chon Buri (only in Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Si Racha, Koh Si Chang and tambon Na Jomtien and tambon Bang Sare in Sattahip district)
  • Chiang Mai (in Muang, Doi Tao, Mae Rim and Mae Taeng districts)
  • Trat (only on Koh Chang)
  • Buri Ram (Muang district only)
  • Prachuap Khiri Khan (only in tambon Hua Hin and tambon Nong Kae)
  • Phangnga
  • Phetchaburi (Cha-am township only)
  • Phuket
  • Ranong (only on Koh Phayam)
  • Rayong (only on Koh Samet)
  • Loei (Chiang Khan District only)
  • Samut Prakan (only at Suvarnabhumi airport)
  • Surat Thani (only on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao)
  • Nong Khai (in Muang, Sangkhom, Sri Chiang Mai and Tha Bo districts)
  • Udon Thani (in Muang, Ban Dung, Kumphawapi, Na Yoong, Nong Han and Prachak Silapakhom districts)

Entertainment venues in these provinces remain closed for now, including pubs, bars and karaoke, but operators can already prepare for the reopening, which may be allowed in early December.
