Thousands of Thais cheer royal couple on trip to Hua Hin

Bangkok Post today devotes two pages to the royal couple's journey to Hua Hin. Half of the front page consists of a photo of the monarch in the royal van (a Volkswagen van) with the head over the full width Majestic journey. Page 2 is a photo page.

King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit left Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok at 16.25:18.50 p.m. yesterday and arrived at Klai Kangwon Palace at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., cheered on the way by thousands of Thais who waved flags and Long Live Their Majesties shouted. In Hua Hin, they were greeted with 21 gun salutes from the navy. How long the beloved king and queen stay in Hua Hin is not known.

The King was hospitalized with pneumonia on 19 September 2009. The Royal Bureau has since issued 65 medical bulletins containing information on the monarch's health. The Queen has been hospitalized since July 21 last year. She was admitted for a mild TIA. The Royal Bureau issued 14 bulletins on her state of health.
