Thousands of pieces of mail have been found at a postman in Bang Saphan Noi district in Prachuap Khiri Khan. A mountain of letters and other mail items including important documents such as bank letters, tax forms, checks and other mail were piled up in his house in Ban Chong Lom village.

Several Thais in the region had complained to the postal service that they were not receiving any mail, but nothing was done with the complaints. A resident told Bangkok Post that he finally went to collect the mail himself from the bank and other agencies for which he had to travel many kilometers. Some local residents received court orders that never arrived and nearly ended up in jail as a result.

Victims said they had lodged complaints with the Bang Saphan Noi post office, but no action had been taken. He had to turn to social media to force the authorities involved to address the issue.

Theerapong Thepmanee, head of the Prachuap Khiri Khan post office, apologized to all affected Thailand Post customers for the undelivered mail on Wednesday.

Definitely won't be the only one. Here in BangBautong is also
much lost. Post that I sent to my girlfriend at the time
sent here, never arrived. Never sent anything after 4x.
Mail delivery is downright bad! Large pieces are also not delivered to your home.
Do you have to go pick up miles yourself…

He should also apologize for not doing anything about the complaints about the undelivered mail.
He should be transferred to an inactive post along with the postman (without salary, of course).

Coincidentally, we also received mail today (Hua Hin), namely a Christmas card from 2018. Might have been there too. No, but all kidding aside, you'll be waiting for important papers and nothing will come. Have to be very honest, this also happens in the Netherlands.

Indeed. This also happens in the Netherlands. My Christmas cards arrived everywhere at their destination within 8 days. Belgium, France, Germany. Even USA. In the Netherlands exactly one month later.

Happens more often. My partner started complaining about the local delivery to the head of the post office in the nearby town, resulting in the delivery of a hefty pile of mail over the past few months.

Given the complaints, the postal service could have done random checks and quickly reached the postman. Simply by pinning customers with complaints on a card, some suspects would soon have come to light.

Nothing is done about or with it. The postman where I live opened all the letters to see if there was money in them and then threw them away. Did he do a year before they found out. Don't do it again.
