The synopsis is already there, now only the script and the script and then the camera can start rolling for the exciting crime film 'The woman who murdered two Japanese'. Because it is obvious that Pornchanok Chaiyapa (47) is as guilty as anything, despite the crocodile tears she shed during the viewing hour for the press yesterday.

The murder of Kasitosi Tanaka

The film begins eleven years ago. The Japanese Kasitosi Tanaka falls down the stairs, he dies and his girlfriend Pornchanok has him cremated two days later. Two weeks before his death, she had persuaded him to take out a life insurance policy. His six children would each receive 1 million baht after his death, but they didn't see a penny. The woman disappeared without a trace.

According to her, the man had a heart condition and fell down the stairs because he was drunk. The police ruled it an accident; the family had doubts but took no further action until Pornchap and her former Thai husband were arrested this week.

Yesterday, daughter Keiko Matta (she was 20 years old at the time) asked the Bang Sao Thong police to reopen the case. She says her father had no heart problems at all and drank heavily, but never really got drunk.

The murder of Yoshinori Shimato

After this flashback, the film jumps in time to the murder of Yoshinori Shimato (79), the man who had been missing since September 21 and whose bank account was looted by Pornchanok. She took 14 baht off in 700.000 transactions. The son reported her missing on October 14 and the police arrested her in his apartment while she was packing her bags.

The woman was charged with theft and released by the court on 100.000 baht bail. She was later apprehended with her Thai ex, a taxi driver, as they entered the country. The continuation of the story is still fresh in the memory: in a canal in Samut Prakan, divers found six bags with Shimato's body parts.

The taxi driver has confessed to dismembering the body, the woman claims that her lover died of shock. The woman herself could play the lead role in her own film, because there is no need for a lemon to evoke tears, it turned out yesterday at the press conference at which she and her buddy were shown to the press.

Now all we have to do is wait for a producer to take the film into production.

  1. Ruud NK says up

Dick, I think when this drama started I read that the woman was very unhappy with her husbands. 2 would have died before and not one as you write. There will be a sequel I suppose.

@ ruud NK Yes, I also heard that from a fellow hotel resident. The woman also lived in Japan. However, Bangkok Post today only describes the two murder cases. If "unhappy with your husband" is a reason to kill him, then we can expect many more murders. Or should I call it reckoning?
