Bangkok has 100.000 people in home isolation
On Thursday, Thailand had 21.379 new people tested positive (including 484 in prisons) and 191 new deaths. They brought the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic last year to 714.684 people who tested positive, of which 495.904 patients have recovered, and to 5.854 deaths. In the past 24 hours, 22.172 patients have recovered and been discharged from a hospital.
CCSA spokesperson Apisamai announced yesterday that 232 Bangkokians have been placed in home quarantine. There are XNUMX centers in the capital that care for isolated patients. “All sectors are working hard to ensure that people are received safely and quickly,” said Apisamai.
She also reported that the Department of Health Service Support has agreed that Thais can now buy their own antigen test kits (ATKs) so that they can test themselves. Nineteen brands have already been approved, more will follow. They are not available online or in grocery stores, only in hospitals and pharmacies.
