Several meetings with the press and media were also organized during the recently held traditional ambassadors' meeting. One of these is Frits Huffnagel's weekly talk show on Omroep West and TV NH.

In his fourth broadcast of the show, he had three guests who represent our country abroad. Besides Jeannette Seppen, ambassador for the Netherlands in Pakistan, and Willem Cosijn, consul general in Australia, our ambassador in Thailand, Karel Hartogh, also sat at the table.

Karel Hartogh answers questions from the presenter, including his meeting with Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, human rights in Thailand, a possible visit by the Dutch royal couple to Thailand (not for the time being!) and other topics regarding Thailand.

Quite a nice program that deserved better than just being broadcast on two regional broadcasters. You can watch the broadcast below: ,

Wow ... what a very good broadcast with fantastic guests ... transparent ... and what a great Karel Hartogh ... a born representative for our country and for us Thailand visitors!! It is indeed a pity that, as already mentioned, this broadcast was only broadcast via 2 regional channels... it would certainly have been beneficial if this program had also been broadcast via NPO! By the way, Frits Huffnagel is a very good presenter... Cheers!!

Nice broadcast with a short look at Thailand, among others. Given the limited time and that the average viewer may know next to nothing about the country and the track, this is a great tip of the veil. Again, it is clear that Karel feels like a fish in water in Thailand. 🙂
