Breast Augmentation in Thailand (Video)

Tags: Bangkok, Breast augmentation, Bumrungrad Hospital, Plastic surgery
An Australian woman talks candidly about her choice for a Thai hospital to have her breasts enlarged there.
Discovering more and more foreigners Thailand as an excellent alternative to quality medical care. A nice side effect is that in addition to the high quality, the costs are sometimes 50% to 75% lower than in the west. Medical tourism is an important source of income for the luxury hospitals in Thailand. In addition to plastic surgery such as breast enlargement, facelift, eyelid correction and liposuction, you can also go there for regular medical procedures.
The breast augmentation of the lady in this video was performed at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok. The woman in question praises her surgeon Dr. Preeyaphas and the nursing staff. “I would recommend this hospital to anyone,” says the Australian. Her breasts are enlarged with '375cc high profile textured gel implants'
She wants to go to Bangkok more often for plastic surgery. She had had her nose beautified in Australia before. She paid $ 3.400 AUD (€ 2.200) for the breast augmentation, which she says is a big difference in price but certainly not in quality.
This woman should know that it can be much cheaper. But then she has to look outside the tourist places. In Khon Kaen there are a few clinics where doctors work from the state hospital and the university hospital. Much cheaper than Bangkok and Pattaya, and in fact just as good. After all, many doctors who work in Bkk and Pat have received their training from the pros and chefs de clinique who work in Khon Kaen University Hospital.
As for medical care in Thailand and private hospitals, I had an extensive conversation with the professor who is in charge of the training of cardiovascular surgeons at the University Hospital of Khon Kaen.
He told me the following:
If you want the best care for the lowest price, come to the university hospital or go to the state hospital.
If you want to pay the most, go to the RAM hospital in Khon Kaen.
Same doctors who do extra jobs on weekends or in the evening.
Indeed, many doctors in private hospitals or clinics also work in state and university hospitals.
I was once admitted to the Khon Kaen hospital, I took a private room, complete with air conditioning, modern bed, private shower and toilet, and excellent care.
Total costs including procedure, x-ray, doctor's fee, operation and recovery room were less than 12,000 baht, or € 300.
A visit to the doctor, including medicines, 380 baht.
Check-up at the university hospital for hypertension, including EEG, blood test “cycling”, consultation with the professor (interesting…a farang), plus for 3 months the prescribed medicines 1390 baht (the medicines only for 3 months at the medicine shop are 1020 baht).
Medical care in Thailand is arranged differently than in the Netherlands, and in some places not well.
But in many places it is also cheap and good for the poor.
Only, a long wait for a consultation…..sometimes.
An evening consultation is possible with many doctors, extra costs 100 baht.
I regularly read about medical mistakes in the Netherlands.
And also about medical mistakes in Thailand.
Little difference
