Thai women catching up: own 'Patpong' and six-pack parties

House, 18 Plus 1, Nice Club House, Mon Lady Club, Sha Sha Club. What is the similarity between these entertainment venues? They are all female-only clubs. Yes, you read that right, women-only clubs. And not to chat about the weather, but they come looking for sex.

The second sex is catching up. Men have Patpong, Soi Cowboy, Nana and many other places in Bangkok to satisfy their sexual appetites; women have had their own clubs for a number of years or clubs organize 'six-pack' parties.

Aggressive women at six-pack party

Levels at Sukhumvit soi 11 organized such an evening. Minimally dressed and well proportioned men were ready to please the ladies. Chutima Ongsanthia, event manager, talks about the mainly female clientele: 'The women were really aggressive. There were even some fights between women falling on the same men. Some of the models (as she calls the hosts) were harassed and given sexual propositions. Our security team had a difficult evening.'

A regular visitor to Prince Entertainment to Rama IX explains what drives her. She is in her late thirties and has a good job in the financial services industry. 'I'm going there to relax. Most guys who try to hit on you in a nightclub can't be trusted. Women who have a little money want to be able to control the situation.'
