Home » Reader question » Reader question: What can my Thai girlfriend do against black magic?
Dear readers,
My girlfriend in Chiang Mai has to deal with black magic, people who want to harm her and her massage shop out of jealousy.
She has been in a monastery near Tak for 9 days to counterbalance it, the monks have also helped her. But also ask that she start a new massage shop, that she is not allowed to travel for the time being and that she even has to change her name (first and last name).
She is now back in Chiang Mai, working again, but suffers from fears and nightmares at night.
Does anyone know what she can do about it, how to deal with it?
PS no sober Dutch reactions, she is Thai.
Regards,
Do
Buy her a nice amulet and a bag of herbs.
Marjoram, Basil, Mugwort, Patchouli, Vetiver and Wormwood are commonly used herbs to counter black magic.
Tell her that you got this from a faith healer and that she should put those herbs with some salt in a bath, where she should sit in herself for half an hour.
With the amulet around her neck, after a maximum of 3 baths, the curse will be dispelled by positive thoughts and can never come back as long as she carries the amulet with her. Can be worn around her neck or in her pocket, as long as she carries it with her. At night it is allowed under the pillow or on the bedside table.
To make the whole thing even more believable, you could also burn “uncrossing” incense.
All this, of course, initiated by a faith healer and a monk.
Most Thai will feel after 2 or 3 days that the curse has been overcome and consider you a great friend.
If there is real black magic involved, you can have the pant cleared by a cleric, as far as your wife is concerned, negative thinking, point to positive, then the negative will be expelled
Still, I think Dutch sobriety is the best remedy. Black magic does not exist. Or do you want to organize a counteroffensive in that circuit? Doesn't work either and only costs claws of money.
If you believe in it then you must conform to it. So black magic is rubbish better to bring her to a sense of reality. There's nothing in the air.
Thais are very superstitious and believe everything. The only solution to her problem: not to believe in black magic. Will be difficult for a Thai
There are several options. Have a look at the YouTube meditation protection. In Eastern cosmologies there are many de_ities which offer protection. Normally I project a ball of white light over the area to be protected.
The best are person dependent.
For example, the Chinese use 2 demon lords for the entrance. Lamps with red light . . .
Pay a fortune teller a few hundred baht. Tell him what to say to your wife. Then go over there with your wife (and make up an excuse why you know him). Fortune teller tells a story and everyone is happy.

animism, get a local (well-known) mind doctor to ward off or exorcise it.
Only stronger hocus-spocus is a remedy against hocus-spokus.
ALSO: people are only visited by higher forces from their own world. For example, Mary has never appeared to a Protestant, not to mention Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist. and the same vice versa.
let them go to temple, and ask that the monks come to her shop. cleaning both shop and herself and staff.
she can also do something with a pig's head and eat. some thai know what i mean.
in that temple they can also refer her to a monk who is pro in that.
let them be informed. solution comes.
w
best wishes.
i believe i'm a victim too, only i don't want to believe in black magic, although i've also seen some weird things..i was healthy when i moved to thailand, now i'm in a wheelchair, and am constact sick, and everything I have a ghost house (because everyone has it) for me all hocus pocus.
I have also had nightmares, and some also came true. That makes you think how sober you are in life. I don't have an answer for you. It's a different country with a different culture.
strength paul from korat..
I can refer you to a monk who has already helped many people.
It's a monk with the heart in the right place, fortunately.
My girlfriend can put her in touch with him.
I hereby give you my e-mail address;
[email protected]
A human being has a consciousness and a subconscious.
The subconscious can be influenced.
A hypnotist, black magic and good orators use this.
But you can also control and influence your subconscious.
People who can sleep well through self-hypnosis.
The solution.
She has to make her own doll with her name on it.
She must place this in the ghost house.
The black forces then deflect to the doll, which can withstand it because it is in the ghost house.
And a good night's sleep is proof that it works.
Dear Will,
My father had a patented remedy to exorcise the devil. He told the people who believed in black magic and the devil that there is one thing these spirits can't stand and that is being laughed at.
You can stage that a bit by saying in such a nightmare that you have seen an evil spirit and that it must still be in the room. Then you laugh and laugh. Then you say that you saw the ghost fleeing.
Be serious and tell your wife that she can do that too and that you can always help her if it doesn't work out. My father, who was a village doctor, had success with all denominations.
The condition is that you must empathize with your wife's fears. It's reality for her.
I know this advice seems somewhat simple and banal, but if you get it right, it just might work, especially if you manage to make it clear to her that spirits that have fled never come back. If it doesn't work, you can always take other measures.
Do you have any questions. Then put it through the editor. Then I can answer you personally.
Good luck and success,
Maarten
Dear Will,
You don't ask for a sober Dutch response because your girlfriend is Thai. Most of the readers will have already understood that she is Thas, I think. I don't know how much experience you have dealing with Thais.
Many believe in this and it cannot be banned. There are even TV programs about ghosts and related things on Thai TV.
Once people believe in this, try to convince them. However, I myself trace this back to the fact that they are rearing each other. Even children are already frightened, I have had words about this with a former partner. I found it comical even if she went to watch a horror movie I had to sit next to her because she was scared. Usually I had to laugh hard at the nonsense presented. But then she got very angry because I had to laugh.
Yet because of certain experiences I once had in Thailand I would almost say that there is more between heaven and earth. However, I attribute this to chance, as I refuse to believe in fairy tales of any religion.
Have you ever discussed temple guards with your wife?
As a Thai, she will certainly believe in this solution.
Hopefully it will give her more confidence.
Success.
The Temple Guardian
The temple guard, also called Thepanom, is originally from Thailand. They guard the temples and make sure that the negative energy stays outside the temple.
If you place them at the door of your house, they protect you and your house and everything that is present in the house, you always put them down as a set (man and woman) because that has to do with the balance of Ying and Yang.
Place the female temple guard on the left and the male temple guard on the right.
(Of course you can place them anywhere in your home, preferably higher than the highest table in the room, so they can watch over you)
I work with gestalt therapy and I know the Thai world of thoughts and beliefs. Fears and nightmares is cooperating if she wants to.
Can you send some more info?
Where do you live and most importantly do you speak Thai, her English is very little.
Regards, Will
I assume she knows who threatens her, what kind of magic it is and why. She can make an effort to let those people know through the grapevine that she doesn't hate them and even cares about them. Threatening them back is pointless.
Black magic can indeed evoke a lot of fear, and that is also the purpose of that black magic. Scaring. I would advise her to meditate, first under the guidance of a monk, for example, later alone. That's the best way to get over those fears after which the black magic no longer affects her. A temporary pill to fight the anxiety at night can also help. An anxiolytic, therefore, to be prescribed by a doctor.
There's a chance it won't help. Then she has to choose. Perhaps it is best to change your name and address after all. Good luck.
“”””PS no sober Dutch reactions, she is Thai.””
This is Thailand blog and there are very often very good reactions from Dutch people, but they are not allowed to answer you now because they react too sober.
Go google it on the internet and maybe there is a Dutch blog where many Thai people give their advice to Thai people.
Sorry, maybe that answer is a bit harsh but so is the comment to have your name changed.
Nice also for your girlfriend's parents to no longer accept the first and last name given by them. Personally, I would not like it at all if my daughter changed her first and last name !!
If this black magic got hold of your girlfriend like this, it is not uncommon in Thailand to have someone answer it by someone who your girlfriend has or gets the belief that that person is so powerful that it eliminates the malicious voodoo sower.
If that is successful, which is quite possible, no further measures are necessary, partly depending on the advice of the emergency services called in.
Good luck and strength to both.
Nico B
I think a ghost exorcist would help a lot.
Hello Will,
I know someone in Chiang Mai who can definitely help her.
Due to the many negative reactions to this subject from our down-to-earth compatriots on Thailandblog, I prefer to help you via LINE.
My LINE ID is Chander47
Dag,
I don't know LINE ID. Don't have a smartphone either.
But can you give me my email: [email protected]
Definitely interested in the one in CMai.
Regards, Will
It is clear to me that there is more between heaven and earth (think of psychic vd squat who does not preach nonsense), but how to deal with it is more difficult.
As already indicated above (to give your wife peace), I would take an important monk or local spiritual doctor into the hand to try to remove the fear.
Dag,
Thank you very much for all the responses.
But that it is serious, is evident from what she writes today:
“Someone stole my underwear
Thieves choose only white out of it”.
Don't know if they are the same from that black magic. But you steal “white” I assume because white purifies, protects.
