Home » Reader question » Are there more farang like me who suffer from the null virus or am I the only one?
Dear readers,
After the Covid virus and the monkeypox virus, the nuil virus has broken out with us, no not the nile virus but the nuil virus! I'll explain.
I come from Nijmegen and we know the word nuil there, which means something like whining. At first I thought I was the only one who suffers from it, but I also see the virus appearing more and more in my area. Women of a certain age who are dissatisfied with anything and everything, but especially with the farang. Fueled by videos on Facebook and TikTok from friends who have it all better.
For example, there is one Steve who is constantly scolded and also occasionally receives a corrective slap. There are also complaining women who talk about how difficult it is for them now that the age difference is causing a lot of problems, they have never followed a training to become a carer for the elderly and would now prefer to dump the farang.
In short, doom and gloom for those nice women.
Are there more farang like me who find the null virus or am I the only one?
Regards,
GeertP

There seems to be a good cure for the null virus. Pointing to the hole of the door….
You may be right in Thailand, although this remains to be seen.
Married in the Netherlands you do indeed know pointing to the hole in the door, but from the outside of your house.
The null virus is now a pandemic. I meet so many people grumbling and whining. On this blog farangs about the Thais (those females!) and Thailand. I think the blog dictator should put a warning above these kinds of posts: 'Watch out, nagging!'
Personally, I find gossiping a fun pastime. The Thais call this นินทา 'ninthaa' (two middle tones). When you have had enough, say หยุดนินทานะ 'joet (low tone) ninthaa na (high tone).
Sorry for the Thai words.
Timo,
I assume that the complaining and whining is not out of the blue.
With an excellent pension and a well-educated woman with a good income, there is probably no reason to complain or complain.
It is simply different for the Farang who is in a less generous financial position, has to support his wife, 3 children, father and mother and had estimated the future in Thailand a little brighter and, to make matters worse, also sold his house.
I met them both, the very wealthy Dutchman up to the state pension with a small pension,
I even know an 83-year-old Dutch man with only state pension who has been staying in Thailand for ten years without a visa and hardly ever leaves his house, but with a nice woman. He never complains.
As a Nimwegenaor, I am familiar with the zero virus. It also occurs in non-Thai women. Many men have it too. Usually asymptomatic, but sometimes symptoms of illness after they have had to pay something for the woman again.
I also come from Nijmegen and live in a village in Isaan and I don't suffer from the so-called NUILVIRUS.
Apparently in a certain region of Thailand.
Anyway, strength.
Hi,
The nagging is all a result of the Covid19 vaccine, they are looking for distraction
of that because so much is coming out now, about damage to imminity and terrible
side effects. They do everything they can to keep it under wraps, but luckily they don't succeed. hence the null virus was introduced
According to the contributor, nuilen is a word that is used in Nijmegen.
I think it has been around for a long time and before there was a virus. Could be for other reasons then.
So it comes from the Netherlands, but why does this not surprise me now ….
Not entirely unknown.
I see it popping up regularly in the Netherlands among the Thai.
They have come to have a good life with far too high expectations and if it doesn't quite come true after a few years, this is what you get.
It sometimes seems as if their husband is a worthless fellow who can do nothing right.
Jealousy also plays a big role.
Over time, people turn away from their Thai girlfriends, sometimes they leave the Netherlands again, or they look for a new boyfriend in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.
In Thailand I also often hear that the Farang husband is a kiniew. A Farang ki nok.
You can use it as much as bird poop.
Fortunately also many happy marriages to end the whole argument on a positive note.
The Nuilvirus: I first had to look it up on the internet because this is a completely unknown word in Belgium.
When I had read the explanation about this, I had to conclude that it is a very contagious virus that can be transmitted even without personal direct contact with an infected person. Even reading TB can already cause an infection, so it is very widely circulated here.
Many a marriage has succumbed to the Nuil virus.
The virus can hide well and is not always recognizable. It can suddenly flare up and have disastrous consequences.
There is no medicine for it. You can do whatever you want, but it won't help at all. It can only get worse.
Only eliminating the cause (partner) can reduce the attacks.
However, it may reappear later at another source.
It occurs all over the world, regardless of race.
the Nuil virus (also a well-known concept in the back corner) broke out here well before Corona, it sometimes seems that my spouse would love to trade with a girlfriend who is better off on 1 of the 10 points, but heavily on the other 9 points behind, or with another friend who is doing better on another point of the 10 subjects, but is also far behind on the other 9. I never really understood that some Thai women really don't appreciate the wealthy situation they are in and always complain about their situation and compare it to a friend who might be better off on 1 out of 10 subjects. Must be a cultural difference thing. Am already used to it and if she doesn't like it she should see if she can get it better somewhere else. There are still many single women in Thailand, although many of them are probably already infected with the Nuil virus…
