Dear Thailand connoisseurs,

We are going to Thailand for the first time with our kids aged 18 and 20 at the end of June. Fly to Bangkok and back from Phuket 19 days later. I'm afraid we're overcrowding our schedule. There is so much to see and do!!

What should we definitely not miss?

Yours faithfully,

Pauline

You can of course visit all the temples and the royal palace, which is normal in BKK, but what I enjoyed was a visit to Bayok Tower (highest point in BKK with a restaurant at the top and a beautiful view of BKK at night) and the floating market is highly recommended. .Be sure to visit the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong on Phuket

It really depends on what you're interested in.

      Bangkok
Shopping: at Chatuchak, Zen Center, Kaosan Road, Siam Paragon, Chinatown, pratunam, panthip plaza (electronics), Amulet Market.

Temples: Wat Pho, Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and many others if you feel like it.

Tourist Traps: Floating Market, Rose Garden, Tuk Tuk scams, Longtail trips on the river, cheap gems scam.

Food: Try the food from the street stalls.

Massages: in many places, the better the place and the ladies look (traditional clothing) the "cleaner" the place.

Nightlife: (optional) Soi Cowboy, Nana, Silom

Means of Transport: Taxi, Tuk Tuk, Motorcycle taxi, Bus, Metro, Sky train, public boats on the river. All fun to try.

      photogenic places: everywhere.

It kind of depends on what you're looking for, but I'll give it a try.
To start with, I can recommend a bike tour through Bangkok. Co van Kessel is the most famous organization in that respect and a Khlong tour in Bangkok is fun, especially for the kids.
I personally think Khao San is the nicest area to stay in Bangkok. Many backpackers terraces, music on the street, also fun for the kids.
Area Kanchanaburi is beautiful, green, the river Kwai with its bridge, the Erawan waterfalls. A really relaxed area. Good for 3 nights. You should take a look at the site of greenwoodtravel in Bangkok. Definitely recommended for inspiration.
I personally think 19 days is a bit short for both the north and the south, so I would concentrate on the latter.
Furthermore, the Khoa Sok national park in the south is a visiting water. Sleep in a tree house. It is a huge area that they filled with water years ago. Beautiful nature etc.
Furthermore, once you have arrived in Phuket, you could visit Koh Phi Phi and stay there for a few days. From there you can take beautiful thought trips at sea, to Maya island, for example. The sea looks great here
Well, if you want to know more, just say so

Please note Bangkok is a very busy city. The above is indeed recommended, I would say. Also take the sky-train (nice experience) and go to the river. There you can always sail from WHAT to WHAT left and right with a boat for little money, with the same ticket across the water. It ends at the WAT with the sleeping Budha and the king's palace. Please note, you are not allowed to enter with shorts and short sleeves and personally I think the entrance is quite high. Have fun traveling and drink plenty of water (not too many soft drinks)

Where do you like the well-known tourist hot spots or more the unknown? Count on the well-known tourist hot spots to be teeming with tourists, including a lot of not so friendly Chinese, Indians, Russians. So I would say google is your friend and if you have found beautiful places and you have instagram for example put a # in front of the word search and you can immediately see whether the picture from that travel brochure also corresponds a bit with the reality of tourists you see. have gone before.

    Dear TRAVELERS
Yes, you need 3 holidays to see Thailand. For example, it is great to have a
national park to view if you can walk around for 2 days!
But since you go to Phuket there you also have a national park BUT 176 KM from Phuket
lies a paradise , the beautiful ; KRABI
    Do it and have fun!
