Dear editors,

I officially live with Tambien Baan in Pattaya, but I'm going to live with friends in Hua Hin for a year now. Can I then just get the well-known 90-day stamp with my Pattaya data at Hua Hin Immigration or am I then obliged to go to Immigration Pattaya or go back to Pattaya Immigration?

If a border run is the only solution, will it also be held from Hua Hin and if so where to?

Does anyone know borderrun desk?

Thanks in advance for information

Piet

Dear Pete,

I think you mean the 90-day message with "the well-known 90-day stamp with my Pattaya data". You must make this notification at the Immigration Office responsible for your place of residence. So if you move to Hua Hin, you must make that 90-day report in Hua Hin.
Don't forget the following forms when you move.

  • TM28 – Form for aliens to notify their change of address or their stay in the province for over 24 hours – This must be completed.
  • TM30 – Notification for house-master, owner or the possessor of the residence where alien has stayed – Must be completed by the person in charge of the address.

You can find these forms here www.immigration.go.th/ – Click on the icon with “Download form” (left) and there you will find all types of forms.

I don't understand why you should do a border run. If you made 90 reports in Pattaya, this means that you are allowed to stay in Thailand for more than 90 consecutive days. Whether that period of stay has been obtained by means of a visa (eg Non-Immigrant “OA”), or whether it concerns an extension (eg “Retired visa”) is not important here. You should only perform a border run if you are allowed to stay in Thailand for a maximum of 90 uninterrupted days (including Non-Immigrant “O” Multiple entry). In that case, you don't have to make 90-day notifications, because your stay is less than 90 days. It's one or the other.

Now as for a visa run.
Personally, I have not yet carried out a visa run from Hua Hin, but you will certainly find visa run offices in Hua-Hin. I also think that your friends in Hua Hin can help you with that or ask around in Hua Hin. You can also search on the Internet. Type “Visarun Hua Hin” into Google
