Which Thai translators are still active?
Dear readers,
I am looking for someone who can translate a marriage certificate and a birth certificate into Thai and have it legalized at the Foreign Office in Bangkok. Of course I like the desks mentioned here [email protected] en [email protected] approached but I suspect they didn't survive the COVID crisis, at least I don't get an answer.
Going to BZ in Bangkok yourself and finding someone there is a bit difficult, so if someone has an address or telephone number, I would be greatly helped.

In October 2021, I used Mrs. P. Suwannaphuum (sworn in before the District Court of Zwolle – Lelystad) for a NL-TH translation of a marriage certificate. e-mail:[email protected]. Attn Mr. Matty Huntjens. Very solid, fast and reasonable in price.

I'm afraid you have to do the legalization yourself, but ask the embassy in what order
I did all this over 30 years ago so…I'm trying to remember.
– first your Dutch document must be in a form that the embassy can use
– then the embassy can legalize it (but I would first ask them about this by email)
I think only then is the right time for the translation and then this Thai document must be legalized at the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chaengwattana.
As far as I can remember you have to go in person for this, but the company that translates can probably tell you more about this
[email protected] legalized all kinds of documents for us, this all went through e-mail and post.
They had a courier on a moped that did that on Chaengwattana.
We didn't have to be there ourselves.

Continue @Ferdinand. In my case the order was: Translation – Court – Foreign Affairs – Embassy.
The Embassy took me two visits. This can be outsourced to, for example: https://cibtvisas.nl/ in The Hague. Possibly a morning at the Court/BuZa and then CIBT for the embassy. Court/BuZa/CIBT are located around The Hague Central Station. All this, of course, if it has to be arranged from the Netherlands.
My mistake, the Dutch part (legalization buza and Thai embassy) has already been arranged, it concerns a translator in Bangkok who translates it and has it legalized and then sends it to me in Korat.
