Dear readers,

Have a question hope you can answer it, I have been in Thailand since December 31, came here by plane. Then extended my 30 day tourist visa by 30 days. Then made a border run to Cambodia and back again. Now I was wondering, can I extend the border run at immigration or not?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Dennes

You have always obtained a “Visa Exemption” of 30 days. No tourist visa.

You can extend the 30-day stay period once by 30 days. Can be done in any immigration office.

You can therefore extend this second “Vise Exemption” of 30 days by another 30 days.

Keep in mind that you can only obtain a “Visa Exemption” twice through “border runs” over land and per calendar year. Via an airport it is basically unlimited.
