Dear readers,

I understand that you can fly (directly via KLM) from Bangkok to Koh Samui with flight no. PG5125 and PG5171. Is it just these two flight numbers? Or as the Thaipass site says: Domestic transit in Thailand is allowed ONLY from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Koh Samui and Phuket by a dedicated 4 digit flight PG5XXX.

Or should the flight number start with PG5 and then the rest in terms of numbers does not matter?

Regards,

Michiel

It seems pretty clear to me, as the site states, the flight number must start with PG5……. Whether you can use them all in practice will also depend on arrival and departure times.

As far as I know it can only be done with a 'sealed' flight…

A sealed flight can only be booked at your booking agency. ie your travel agent books in one
booking Amsterdam-Bangkok-Samui and Bangkok – Samui also gets a KLM flight number and this
becomes PG5125 or PG 5171 flight from Bangkok airways.
There is one more thing though, if you book this you will be in the Samui Sandbox and not the Test and Go

Why book with a 'booking agency', not yet read enough warnings and bad experiences in these corona times? Simply directly with the airline!

        • Do says up

That is not possible, Cornelis, because if you book directly yourself, you first book KLM and then Bangkok Airways, which are 2 bookings. A travel agent books it as one flight.

You can, Will. You can simply book a flight from Amsterdam to Samui on the KLM website, one ticket with a transfer in BKK to a Bangkok Airways flight.
