Dear readers,

Can someone explain to me exactly how best to get from the bus station in Pattaya to the center of Pattaya by regular songthaew?

Regards,

Jurgen

I have only arrived there by bus once or twice in 2 years.

Thought there is also no route where you can hop in the back of the bin for 10 or 20 bath.

But to get somewhere you almost always pay the main price.

If you mean the one on North Road you can take songthaew to the Dolphin Roundabout. Dolphin roundabout. So towards west. To the beach. Then transfer to the baht bus that waits there along Beach Road. It's just what you call Pattaya center

see also reader question: By Bahtbus from the bus station to second road.

Do not get off at Second road, but continue to the roundabout (Dolphin Roundabout).
If you go straight you will reach the coast (Pattaya Beach)
There with the next songthaew along the coast to about Soi 9 (police station)
You can consider that as the center with Central Festival (large department store) and many businesses in the immediate vicinity.

Keep change at hand! 10 baht per ride. (sometimes they try to ask for more)
