Reader question: Submit TM 30 form at passport control?

Dear readers,

Upon arrival at the airport in Bangkok, can I hand in my TM 30 form at the passport control along with my passport to the immigration office? Is that possible? Since I am now a home owner of a condo, you have to report it to the Immigration Department within 24 hours.

If I can do that at the airport, will it be much easier for me?

Can someone help me further

Many thanks in advance,

Wim

    Fear not.
The form must be submitted to the immigration office/police station responsible for your place of residence.
This is how it says on the form:
“Must notify the local immigration office, If there is no immigration office licensed in that area the local police officer must be notified”

I once tried to register with the police of SanKampheang near Chiang Mai First with the local then with the district police there after with the tesaban, No one could help me, never heard of TM-30 Finally succeeded at the old immigration (airport) in Chiang Mai. Finally got the boss of the condomium under her feet. apparently they have to send a zzb list of those present every time people arrive or leave, which had never happened before. There is a po every day
litie man sign a book with mention and date and time. Would be for security reasons.

It's something that has actually been necessary for years, but which hardly anyone did / does. The reason was/is simple. Most didn't know/don't know.
There is also little control over it.
Hotels know that and report it without you knowing. It's not your job, it's their job.
Nowadays there is more control and sometimes a fine is given to those who should have reported it.
Another one of those rules they've tightened up in the last year.
