Home » Reader question » Reader question: Meeting a Thai woman in the Netherlands for a relationship
Dear readers,
I would like to meet a Thai woman who already lives in the Netherlands. Do you know how I can best handle that?
I had a Thai wife but sadly passed away.
Yours faithfully,
Henk
Take a look at your deceased partner's former circle of friends. Maybe there are options there. Or maybe in Thai associations or temples.
But isn't it better to look for a partner instead of a Thai woman?
It turns out that partner is also Thai…. then of course you will be doubly happy.
Good luck by the way and I hope you do soon
find a (Thai) partner that will make you happy.
Dear Henk,
I would take a look at one of the Thai dating sites, such as Thaicupid, Date in Asia, Thaifriendly or something. If you really want to get in touch, there are costs associated with it, but these are not too bad. Although I think the number is already in the Netherlands living Thai ladies that you can meet through the sites is quite small.
Is a Thai who lives in Belgium or Germany an option? Or possibly a Thai who has lived in the Netherlands and lives in Thailand again? Or possibly through your acquaintances or circle of friends?
These are just some ideas, wish you luck with your search.
Dear Henk,
How old are you and where do you live?
I do know one. In the middle of the country.
Sincerely.
Dear Henk,
I met my girlfriend, now fiance, through Lexa.
Might also be an option for you.
Gr. Lau
Erik are outside the temple in Waalwijk there are more. In afferent, for example. I also know several Thai widows in the Netherlands. Occurs when there was a large age difference between man and woman
You can also become a widow or widower through the cruelty of fate. I am a widower myself and in my early 30's and my teerak was of a similar age to me. A Thai friend of mine is also a widow, but her husband was also relatively young. Life is sometimes beautiful, sometimes very cruel and unjust.
The questioner may therefore be lucky to meet a nice (Thai) woman here in the Netherlands. That could be a widow or broken relationship. A friend of my father came across a nice Thai person via a Dutch dating site (relationship planet?) who had also been Dutch for several years.
I myself would not necessarily need a Thai again, although that would be a nice bonus because I do have a weakness for Thailand and also for an East Asian appearance). I wouldn't specifically look for it because with some kind of ideal image the chance of disappointment is only greater I think. It's about the person, nationality doesn't say much. If I were to 'search' then I would search via-via or just regularly visit Thailand among people. Or just in the Netherlands ... so just spontaneous feels more comfortable than a dating site. If she comes from Thailand or the region, that's a bonus.
I wish Henk all the luck because life without a snuff kiss or sweetheart lying next to you with twinkling eyes and telling you in Thai or Dutch how much she loves you is pretty shitty. I miss that dearly.
@Hank,
Like Zonnetje, I too would like to know how old you are and where you live. I know a beautiful, sweet Thai lady of 49 who lives in Thailand, but who would like nothing more than to be able to live permanently in the Netherlands. She has already been there with me 2x and is in love with the country! Please leave a comment with your email address and I will send you her details.
There are also regular Thai parties (often around Thai holidays such as Songkran and Loy Kratong in early November) in hall centers in the Netherlands, these are accessible to everyone and you can get to know (Thai) people anyway, which can be a nice first step. Google it.
