Dear readers,

My Thai friend here (the Netherlands) received a vaccination twice during her vacation. I have arranged a yellow booklet which is neatly filled out and stamped. Of course also a paper stating that she had two.

She can't fill in the Dutch QR code because of course she doesn't have a Digid. Can she fill in a Digital Health Pass with her Dutch proof of vaccination in Thailand?

Thank you very much for the response.

Regards,

Peter

I don't think so, because her Thai 13-digit ID has no vaccination associated with it.

What I think is the / a possibility is to take her vaccination certificates (and yellow booklet) obtained in the Netherlands to the local (her Amphur) Health Office, so that they can add the vaccination in their systems. Then it should work.

If not, I'd like to hear about it too. My wife (now in the Netherlands) has been vaccinated here and would also like to have it registered in Thailand. The (internet) research I did led me to the above answer.

What Dennis says is correct. I even made the effort to provide my wife with a BSN number. You can still go to Heerlen every day and it only takes 15 minutes and you have a BSN number via the RNI counter. But it now appears that this number is still not sufficient to apply for a Digi D. Without a Dutch residence permit you simply will not get a digid. Impossible. With all the unpleasant consequences that entails.

Saa, you only get a DigiD if you are Dutch.

Foreigners can, but don't ask me how to arrange that, instead of logging in with DigiD with another login method recognized in Europe.

It is not correct that you only obtain that DigiD if you are a NL resident.
My girlfriend is not Dutch and has a DigiD.

Henk, that's right, was a bit too fast of me. But someone who is only Thai(se) does not get a Digid. See this link.

Henk, unless you have to start receiving state pension soon, then it is possible. See:

As far as I know you can also get your (international (in English)) QR code on paper via a request. google ffs

That's right, and I could easily print it myself, but I think it is still linked to your DigiD.

Last month I got a vaccination and it was stamped in my vaccination booklet, it was accepted by the Thai embassy and no questions asked. I didn't need a difital pass for my COE nor at the border control.

    Peter,

My girlfriend is on holiday in the Netherlands, her vaccination by the GGD has been registered in her CoronaCheckApp after a long inquiry.

The first thing you should do is make an appointment for her at a Registration Non-residents counter (RNI counter). It can take a long time, sometimes up to 9 weeks, before you can go there, but you can make an appointment at any counter. So make an appointment at a counter where you can go the fastest.
Then she will receive a lifelong citizen service number (BSN). Also complete the 'Consent statement for registering additional contact details in the Registration of Non-residents'.
You then call 030-8002899 and explain that your girlfriend is on holiday here, has been vaccinated here, is registered with the RNI, cannot apply for a DigiD and would like to have that vaccination on paper, because she would also like to be admitted to the Netherlands in cafes, restaurants, theatres, etc.
The operator searches for her data in the database and checks that data. If that is correct, the operator will then send the vaccination certificate to the e-mail address you provide and you can open the certificate by requesting the access code, which will be sent via SMS to a telephone number you have provided to the operator.
You can then load that proof into its CoronaCheckApp.

Forget the 0800 numbers. Half of the telephone operators do not even know that you need a DigiD to create a QR code via them. They can't (and won't) help you further.
The telephone operators on 030-8002899 were very understanding and helpful to me. After 10 minutes I received the email with the proof. And again 10 minutes later, the QR code was in my girlfriend's CoronaCheckApp.
A reader of this forum told me that he even succeeded with his Thai friend who was already in Thailand.

      I'll try that tomorrow, thanks!
I have been sent from pillar to post so many times in the past few days that I could fill an IKEA warehouse…

Saa, you only get a DigiD if you are Dutch.
My wife has lived in the Netherlands for 10 years with her THAI passport and an MVV. She does indeed have a DIGD, so not a Dutchman, but still a DIGD.

In addition to the above solutions, this is also another way:
When your girlfriend returns to Thailand after her holiday here in NL, she will have to apply for a COE at the Thai Embassy in The Hague to enter AQ/ASQ upon arrival in Thailand.
When completing the COE you have the option to add all your Covid vaccination certificates.
If it is correct, she received a printout from the GGD both times of the vaccination. In addition, you also neatly had a yellow booklet stamped. Take a photo of all these documents and then include it in the COE application.
As soon as the COE agrees, you can download a PDF and it will state that she has been vaccinated twice. The entire letter is in Thai and also has an official stamp of approval on it.
Your friend can then show this to her local Amphur to have it listed in the Thai system.
    Success.
