Home » Reader question » Thailand question: Can I stay in an ASQ hotel room with my Thai girlfriend?
Dear readers,
My girlfriend is in the Netherlands for 3 months and will fly back next month. I plan to go with her. We are not married. Can we stay together in a quarantine room in Pattaya?
Regards,
Freek
Editors: Do you have a question for the readers of Thailandblog? Use it contact form..
I don't think so (at least it was a while ago).
You could submit it to the Thai embassy in The Hague, with proof of a long-term collaboration.
to have lived. No do you have, yes you can get…
I understand from various sources that it is officially only possible if you are married.
But I have also read in various places that in practice it is possible at various ASQ hotels if you have proof that you have been together for a long time. It is of course important that your girlfriend enters Thailand on the same flight as you. But that seems obvious to me.
still addition. Remind me that some hotels even have it on the wish site, albeit very shrouded in it. I'm sure I've seen it, but I may also have seen it on facebook where they sometimes put a hotel confirmation. In any case, informing the embassy is not recommended. They have the official answer, but you are not waiting for that. Theory and practice are not always the same in Thailand, both positive and negative.
Dear Frank,
Married people do.
So it will be 2 rooms.
Why make a distinction?
Buddha will know.
Greetings.
Gino
I hope so for you.
Before booking the hotel, I would submit this to the management of the hotel.
Know for sure that it will work with the right financial massage.
Hi im afraid cant fly back i heard today i would fly to bangkok october 19th has been canceled with eva ear strength
Dear Frank,
Personally, I would advise you to make it easier.
Apply for an extension of your girlfriend's visa through your place of residence.
Due to corona restrictions, that seems the most simple and obvious to me.
Don't know if you and your girlfriend are okay with that, of course.
Greetings
Guy
Which can. No problem. Contrary to what many report here. That was old news. Various ASQs don't make a fuss about this.
Look at this selection of 37 asqs for unmarried couples.

Success!
Hello Frank,
If you take a look at the link I'm adding here you can see if it's possible.
It is described as "unmarried couples", just look up contact details via a booking site and then you can send an email directly to the hotel or better, have your girlfriend call .. So it is possible ...

7-Eleven Purchase
HDMI cable
International channels
Internet – Wi-Fi
Microwave
Unmarried couples
Smoking rooms available
Yoga mat
Just surf and you will see which hotels “allow” this
greetings, Ronny
Hi Freek, it's possible and they don't make a fuss about it, I went to Thailand with my girlfriend in February 2021, to the Green resort Pataya. The only thing is that you have to sign a form together that you share the rooms (2) with each other. You can get the forms through the hotel. We had a 2 room app. with balcony. The advantage is that you can also go outside.
Good luck and have fun, Jan H.
Good day,
http://thecanalhotels.com/asq-package/ was my ASQ Hotel. On the site, as you can see, they have a price for a couple. I think so, but that is in Bangkok. I don't see why that wouldn't be possible in Pattaya. I would check with the ASQ Hotel of choice.
Good luck,
Oeang Eng
