Taking sleeping medication to Thailand?

Dear readers,

I'm going on holiday to Thailand in July but I use sleeping medication and they fall under the narcotics law. I have a statement from the doctor in English and I have it approved by the CAK. But now it is not quite clear to me what to do with it after that?

Do I have to have it approved at the embassy in the Netherlands or do the documents have to be sent to Thailand?

I hope you can provide some clarity.

Greetings,

Jordan

Hi, You can take sleeping medication such as temazepam with a “medicine passport”. You can request this certificate from the pharmacy. This is enough for benzo.

    Hello Jordan.
    I had the following order:
    CAK… stamp on your letter
    Min. Foreign Affairs..stamp on it
Thai embassy….the legalization will follow and your letter will be sent home by registered mail.
Of course he has to pay everywhere.

Brussels or Essen (D) is also possible instead of The Hague.

Very heavy medication via Brussels. Otherwise, Essen is an alternative

If you indicate which sleep medication you are taking, it may also be available in Thailand.

Just came back and brought Zolpidem. Obtained a medicine passport from the pharmacy and a statement in English from the GP.

Every doctor in every hospital, in Thailand, writes a prescription for the medicines you ask for. No problem. I was given 30-XNUMX sleeping pills only when asked. Pain relief pills? No problem, here's a prescription and go get it from the medicine man at the hospital.

Jorinde, follow the CAK procedure and that can tell you whether the CAK or you have the note stamped at the Thai embassy or consulate. Then you travel and are stopped in Thailand about those pills and then you show the papers and the medicines. Keep the medicines in the original packaging from the pharmacy with the label neatly attached.
