Reader Question: Samae San Island
Dear readers,
My boyfriend and I are leaving for Thailand again on August 8. We are a young couple. We would like to go to Samae San island, but you won't find much about it on the internet.
We don't want to travel too much this time and also want to stay near Sattahip/Rayong. We are already familiar with Pattaya.
And are Koh Samet and Koh Chang recommended or not because we are going in August?
I would like to hear your advice.

It is normal that you cannot find much about Koh Samae San on the internet. Although ... just google it and you will find something about this island. (or else I have another google in Thailand?); You can't find much about it because the island is barely an apron in size, is about 1.5 km from the coast and there is little or nothing to do outside of peace and quiet. What can be written about then? You can walk around in a few hours.
If you go in August you run the risk of less weather (not rain all day, but less beautiful days with more clouds than, for example, in January, February or March. Koh Samet would be a doubtful case for me. You can have beautiful weather but on a bad day it is boring. There are no shopping centers or shopping street. It is all too little for entertainment. Koh Chang is more fun, but further away from, for example, Pattaya, where you have practically everything. On the other hand there is a lot to do on Koh Chang And Pattaya is big, you also have Jomtien or Naklua if you want to avoid the craziness of Central Pattaya.
Pretty nice island for a day trip!
