- Rob: Hello Frans, From May 10 you can pre-order it from the publisher. My email address is [email protected]
- Rob: The publisher is still working on the design and I don't know the sales price yet. It will be available for purchase from May 24. I will return in October

Reader question: Who has the recipe for Thai pancakes?
Dear readers,
In December I went on holiday in Thailand with my parents. There we got acquainted with the Thai Pancakes that you find everywhere
could eat on the street. We have tried all variants.
I would like to make them at home, but can't find a recipe anywhere.
Can you help me with this?
Thanks in advance,
Isabel
Hi Isabel, Thai pancakes usually contain coconut for that special taste. If you google for “coconut pancakes” you will come across a number of recipes. Good luck with your 'bakery'.
Do you mean Roti? Puff pastry with possibly. banana and a sweet sauce on top?
According to my girlfriend, this is originally an Indian dish.
Who knows, this will help you find the recipe.
Sincerely,
Henk
Hi Isabel,
Here is a link for YouTube on how to make the coconut pancake.
This is explained by a Thai woman who speaks Dutch.
The roti with banana is called roti canai and is a mix of two types of flour with water and oil see second link.

Yes, those pancakes are delicious. We come to Thailand almost every year and I asked for the recipe laughingly he said no he does not give the recipe. But super tasty.
I think you mean kanom krok. Just google kanom krok recipe and you're there.
You can't eat them 'all over the street'.
Someone got them for me in Pattaya a few months ago. I loved them.
I'm back now and I'm inspecting just about every food stall I see around here, every bar I go to I'll show a picture and ask if anyone knows where I can get them, but it hasn't as of yet success…
I think the 2 that sometimes come across are on vacation.
One drives around the bars a lot in the early evening, the Thai also love it
I often saw another standing at the height of the police station dongtan beach between 4 and 6 o'clock (afternoon)
My recipe for Thai Roti:
Ingredients:
• 3 cups self-rising flour
• White sugar
• 1 egg
• cup of milk
• Pinch of salt
• Vegetable oil
• Butter
• 1 banana
• Can of condensed milk
– Mix the flour with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
– Add the egg and a tablespoon of milk in the middle.
– Add 1 to 2 cups of water and mix well.
– Knead the whole into a ball in about 5 minutes.
– Set it aside and cover it.
– After about 20 to 30 minutes, the dough is ready to work with.
– Roll out the dough into long strips and divide into approximately 12 to 15 portions.
– Roll out these portions as thinly as possible until almost transparent.
– Heat a frying pan and add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil.
– Bake the Roti pancakes on both sides until nicely browned on a medium heat.
– Cut the banana into slices and stir into the condensed milk.
– Place the mixture in the middle of the pancake and fold it twice.
– Heat the whole for a few more minutes on a low fire.
– Serve the roti with warm chocolate sauce.

Or do you mean the crispy wafers filled with a kind of cream?
Then search for thai crepe or kanom buang or kanom berng.
Success.
