Problems with 'Tax On Web' for Belgians
Dear readers,
Since September 14, Belgians can submit their taxes via Tax On Web. Last year everything ran smoothly, now I get one error message after another. In the end I was able to save my declaration but not yet submitted it. Apparently there are also some benefits that we could use in the past. After filling in and checking everything, it turns out
that I have to pay back € 1.340 on my small civil servant pension. That is an almost full pension.
Are there any of you Belgians experiencing the same problems with TOW? Mail to the FPS? Can you wait 1 month for an answer!
Is there anyone I can ask for advice on completing my tax letter? A service? Organization? Or someone willing here? 😉
Regards,
Walter
Dear,
There are indeed technical problems with Tax-on-Web. This has been reported in the media. Please try again from Monday.
just ask for my e-mail address [email protected]
Filled out tax-on-web yesterday without any problems and was able to submit. The calculation was correct. If necessary, you can reach me by e-mail (address known by the editors).
Idd I also have so many errors, and don't forget to fill in code 1073, resident of another state, if you forget that you come in a different scale, but you can submit an objection to "ABROAD DEPARTMENT OF EXPERTISE" Kruidtuinlaan 50 B 3412, 1000 BRUSSELS or via myminfinbe, read carefully the back of your tax bill (tax bill) from last year, everything is well explained.
I don't know if I can give my email address but I will try,[email protected],I'm French speaking but I will try to help you if necessary.
Every case is of course different. But I can give you one tip, from personal experience, to check. This concerns the localization code (for assessment year 2016, the explanatory information can be found on page 16).
I had entered code 1081 as the localization code, while this should have been code 1095. We were deregistered in Belgium and therefore located in the Brussels-Capital Region.
This was the answer from FPS Finance and instead of having to pay, we received money back with the recalculation!
Dear, The problems drag on from July 17. Solved, not solved,…. Search at VRTnews, look at the bottom of the news items and write a short piece in the box: news facts to report and in many cases a journalist then starts snooping around and a message appears in the news broadcasts and usually there is a response from FPS Finance Indeed, the government's claim on wages, wages and benefits in Belgium is a lot bigger than in the second most expensive country: Sweden. Tpch one thing we're leading with. Furthermore, as a restaurant owner (self-employed) I can also say that the financial pressure of the government is much too great to bear and I am considering stopping a thriving Thai restaurant soon. It's just sustainable. Good luck yonder
I just finally got it out last night after first only 2 persistent error messages regarding the format of date entry for the pension receipt period, then the same thing happened again and suddenly I had 6 errors, then the same entry again and suddenly 8 errors (including always the date method of entry). ) and this always at the end of the shipping box, had to be with / in between instead of - or space ...., in the end a few small boxes in the purple error bars were checked and suddenly everything was ok and got out of the PC, the calculation was also correct.
And that becomes more difficult every year, because they make it ambiguous to consider, last year I had entered my pension twice and it turned out that I only had to do it once, but the question was therefore ambiguous!
Has arrived to them and they already know everything, so if something is wrong they can adjust it themselves. I'm done!
Reported, so no fine, at most an adjustment by them, you can also play it that way, not lying awake like that.
This Tax On Web is only for Belgians NOT living in Belgium, at least if you are registered there. As every year, there are some errors in the declaration. Some good advice:
- never fill in the declaration when opening the website. There is plenty of time to do it and if you wait a week then others have already informed the service of errors and difficulties and have already corrected it.
-after the calculation, do the same calculation with another website and see if the amounts owed or to be refunded match.
Paying 1340EU on a pension seems a lot to me if you only have a pension as income. Unless, of course, you also have other taxable income or, for example, received a group insurance policy or pension couples in 2017 or your family situation changed.
In 'normal' circumstances, the withholding tax on the pension is just about sufficient, except for a small amount, in favor or disadvantage. I also have a 'small civil servant's pension' as level A, no other income and last year I paid a small 200 EU extra. This year, according to the preliminary calculation, it would be 72EU.
Wait another week and then try again.
Lung addie
I also did it yesterday, September 16, 2018 and saw that I should pay I am retired and married I would just have to pay 5 123 .44 euros on my pension without additional income I have not yet sent it yet I was sure I was previous year dice taxed on my pension sent an email to say so received an email back FIRST pay the dice sum and then after 3-4 months got it back at the bank that is the Belgian tax authorities.
for help with filling in the taxes you can contact your municipality for help in Belgium, so inquire there.
