Dear readers,

I've been seeing a lot of discussion lately about visas, mostly non-immigrant-O. Does anyone know how to convert a non-immigrant B single entry to a multiple entry and renew it once it has expired (in Chiang Mai).

I work for a Thai company and have a work permit. Two years ago you could still get a multiple entry in the Netherlands, but now they only give a single entry after you have submitted all company data (including annual statement and tax report) to the consulate.

At the consulate they say that I have to arrange my work permit with the single entry and that I can then extend it without having to apply for a visa in the Netherlands every year.

They just can't explain to me how and where to do it and the company here in Thailand won't find out either.

Does anybody have experience with this?

Thanks and regards,

Wout

    Dear Wout,

I looked it up for you and found a flow diagram for you

According to that information, you can obtain an extension of stay of 1 year at immigration.
If you want to leave Thailand you have to apply for a re-entry (you will have the choice of a single or multiple but it is not mentioned).
You can do this every year as long as you have work and a work permit.

So you can have everything extended in Thailand and do not have to go to the Netherlands.
Is actually the same procedure as for an extension of a Non-Immigrant O or OA

On this link it is neatly and clearly explained in a flow diagram

Standard Process for foreigners who wish to work in Thailand
