Dear readers,

I want to mountain bike for a week on Koh Samui and Koh Phangan in November. The Funbikeshop website that organizes this according to the website cannot be reached. Does anyone know if this company still exists or an alternative on the two islands? Including the rental of a mountain bike.

Would love to hear the responses.

Regards,

Ron

https://www.samuibicycletours.com they organize mountain bike tours. I find them quite expensive myself. At funbike shop I come across that they are permanently closed.
This week I went to Samui for someone to see where they rent out mountain bikes. Most of the places I knew have now closed, I assume due to lack of business. This is still open, if you drive from Bophut towards Maenam then there is a shop just before Soi 2 (Maenam, Family mart on the corner) that rents out bikes. They are usually stored indoors, the owner also does repairs and maintenance.

Also check out this link, they don't just rent out electric bikes.

I would go to Chang Mia region for mountain biking! Koh phangan (most courses are paved) and koh tao (too small, too steep) are known for other things 😉

Because of the combination of beach and mtb holiday I chose koh samui.
Changmai is the place for organized cycling holidays.
    Thanks for the tip.
    Gr ron.

This is a nice company where you can make an organized bike ride over part of the island. During the tour, photos are taken of the participants, which you can view and copy later on the site of this organization. Not expensive, but fun! We made this trip in March this year and it is highly recommended!
    Greetings and good luck!
