Reader question: Luk Thep pop
Dear readers,
The newspapers are full of it and even the Dutch press paid attention to it. I am of course talking about the luk thep or child angel doll. Personally I have not seen them yet, but if I have to believe some reports, almost everyone has one.
I am a sober person and do not attach any values to it. Even worse, I doubt the mental abilities of those (adults) who have such a doll.
How would you deal with someone sitting next to you on a plane with such a doll, or occupying the last seats in a restaurant or other public areas with a number of dolls?
Do you go around it with a curve or do you ask that the dummies be removed so you can sit too?

In Thailand people believe in ghosts, ghosts, fortune tellers, etc. Let's take this in. And if that lady paid for a seat for her doll on the plane. Rather next to a doll than next to a fat talker. Elsewhere it flies off, with me.
The hype surrounding these dolls seems overblown to me.
I haven't met anyone who has ever seen one.
I hope that two of them will sit next to me, I can stretch out and it will be nice and quiet.
I asked my Thai wife and she says that people with such a doll are mentally disturbed or crazy. She has seen them walking on the Talad with such a doll in their arms and some even breastfeed such a doll. She has seen that in a restaurant such a doll gets its own seat and food and drinks are ordered for it. How crazy can you get then?
