Dear readers,

We are looking for traditional Christmas group(s) from Thailand. We collect Christmas groups and have been exhibiting them in various places in the Netherlands for years. Last Christmas in 5 different places, mostly in churches. Our collection now consists of more than 1350 different Christmas groups from all over the world.

We are currently visiting our son and his family in Kaeng Krachan (Petchaburi) and already for the 5th time in Thailand. However, we have never managed to buy an authentic Thai Christmas group here. For example, a Christmas group with figures in Thai style and it would be nice to find a Christmas group made of wood from the Tontan tree.

After the weekend we will go to Pak Thong Chai for a few more days and then back to Kaeng Krachan. On March 23 we fly back to Holland.

Can one of the readers of this site help us further and do you know an address where something similar is for sale in this region?
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Greetings,

Joe and Mary

Thailand is a Buddhist country. I have never seen nativity scenes here.

I've tried for years. Did not succeed. They don't really know that here. In churches you usually only see a cradle, horribly decorated, with a doll in it.

    Dear people,

We have a real Thai Christmas set-up that we would like to sell. He is about 20 years old and made by Thai. Still looks fine, except for the box it comes in. You can pick it up in Bangkok. If you respond I will pass on the address.
    Asking price 60 euros.
