Reader question: Wifi amplifier in Hua Hin

Dear readers,

We will spend the winter in Hua Hin. Which WiFi amplifier can I use best there and where can I buy it best? Sitting in a condo and especially during the weekend, the WiFi network is pulled away by Thai weekenders who have such a box.

Does anyone know a solution?

Yours faithfully,

Sylvia

It is best to contact Klaus: [email protected]. It is an acquaintance of mine who knows a lot about this. But in English or German… 🙂

    Hi Sylvia,

It's not a matter of strengthening. It is important to use the right tire. This requires playing with different adapters.
Perhaps the apartment has a landline internet line and you could use that to create something like WiFi locally.

    success,

    Hello Sylvia,
It is possible, but it depends on which provider you have in your area. Check with your smartphone or your computer for the strongest WIFI signal. Once you have found it, go to a 7/11 store and ask for a prepaid WIFI for 1 month for that provider. Here in Chiang Mai it costs 100 baht per month from True Wifi.
You will then receive a login name and a password.
With your smartie or your computer you then connect to the provider (connect) in the WIFI list and start up the Internet. Wait a while and the provider will then report you, after which you log in.

I use it with both my smartie and my computer (Chrome) and it works fine.

    Succes

    Hi Sylvia,

It might be wise to explain your question a bit more.

I quote “Which WiFi amplifier can I use best there and where can I best buy it? Sitting in a condo and especially during the weekend, the WiFi network is pulled away by Thai weekenders who have such a box.”

“WIFI amplifier”: un-things, unless you live in the countryside, then very effective in combination with a directional antenna

“the network is pulled away”: 1. the signals are so mutilated that reception is impossible .. .
or 2: the connection capacity is so slow that .. .

“who have such a box” what kind of box, a universal USB adapter with 500mW or 2000mW

which bands are available and at what times ?

My advice use a usb adapter with different bands and with a directional antenna.

    success,
    Climb.

I just read about a WIFI Analyzer, maybe that is something for you?

    Greetings,
    Climb.
