Reader question: Which Kasikorn bank app to transfer money?
Dear readers,
Which app should you install from Kasikorn bank to send money from Thailand to Belgium/the Netherlands, since you have different apps from Kasikorn?
To send it you need a Thai visa card or not? Or does that work exactly the same as with us a transfer or….
Anyone experience this?
Regards,
Rudi (BE)
Do you have a question for the readers of Thailandblog? Use it contact form..
I don't think you can transfer money abroad via the app. You usually have to be on the couch for that
I was with Kasikorn for 16 years..I now live back in Belgium..I went to the bank and had the entire amount transferred to my bank in Belgium…money must be in the bank…
Without money in the bank it will be very difficult of course 😉
Dear Rudi,
I have been working with Kasikorn for 2 months now to transfer money to the Netherlands
But every time I get the money back with a natural exchange rate loss. Ok I will get it back
from Kasikorn. You have to do it through the K plus app via transfers and then international transfers.
They tell me that I can transfer 1,5 mill bath per day. Well not well.
Tried €500 for the last time yesterday and just 10 minutes ago it arrived
back again. I tried to transfer €25,000 through them a month ago
head office on Silom road. So I sat there for 3,5 hours.
I now transfer money via Western Union, but also there a max. of 1 mill. bath per month.
So my advice to everyone here, keep your money in the Netherlands as much as possible because he gets it
not leave the country. Have now also had my Aow paid out and my Ing bank.

Mr. Gob; the director of the Kasikorn bank branch Pattaya Klang is very good at transferring money. You seem to get interest instead of costs. Unfortunately in MR Gob on vacation for a while; maybe wait till he comes back,
Hundreds, perhaps more than 400, investors have been allegedly defrauded by an assistant bank manager at a Kasikorn bank branch in Pattaya.
The assistant manager, named in a police report as “Mr. Gob” (the Thai word for 'frog'), was promising investors 3.5% interest, per month, yes… PER MONTH… for cash investments. It appears his high interest rate attracted hundreds of people wanting to take advantage of the generous terms.

Think a forced vacation
You must indeed have the K-Plus app. Go to a large Kasikorn office, they can help you with the installation.
I had the problem of receiving money back with the K-plus app initially too. The money was returned twice. Fortunately, I did it with a small amount at first.
Then called the call center K-Bank 028888888. There I was told that I had not written the name of the Dutch recipient (myself) exactly as the name appears on my Dutch account number. I had only indicated the letter of my first name, but my full first name is stated on my account number! That silly difference went wrong… due to too sharply adjusted software, I suspect.
Then it went well. Money was in my Dutch account within seconds and the exchange rate was very fair!
Isn't that always the case?
Never knew that the bank gives you an extra when you transfer neither from NL/BE -> TH or vice versa.
Have a look at this > https://www.deemoney.com/send-money-from-thailand-to-netherlands/
I am also at Kasikornbank and have a KDEBIT card.
Have the app on my phone. K+ and can transfer money from my Thai account to an account in the Netherlands from my easy chair at home without any problems.
Transferwise has better rates both ways, really wonder why you want to do bank to bank transfer at a very high cost when there are other and cheaper options
TransferWise doesn't go both ways.
From Thailand to the Netherlands is not supported.
Deemoney is an alternative. However, first a procedure to get this ready.
Dear people,
Most people may not be aware but this week in Pattaya a major scam at Kasikorn has come to light involving hundreds of millions and many foreigners were also victims.
Kasikornbank was also the buyer of the Thai Farmerbank 20 years ago, which went bankrupt.
Take all your money out of there.
Only Bangkokbank and Thai Militarybank offer bank guarantees.
Be warned about this.
Greetings.
