Reader question: Is Sidegra already for sale in Thailand?
Dear editors,
Last year, the Bangkok Post reported that Thailand would start selling 'Sidegra' on prescription as an alternative to the very expensive Viagra. This would also solve the fake Viaga problem.
Sales would start on October 1, 2012. Sidergra would cost 110 baht for four 50mg pills and 180 baht for 4 100mg pills.
Do you know if the product is already for sale and where? I don't hear much about it anymore. How do I get a prescription?
Regards,
Ben
From my news archive:
September 6, 2012 – Good news for men with erection problems. The Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) has a cheaper pill than Viagra in its package from October 15.
The pill is called Sidraga and is available in two sizes: a 50 mg tablet for 25 baht and 100 mg for 45 baht. That is a lot cheaper than a Viagra pill that costs 200 baht. The GPO has included the pill in its package because of the lower price and because it also wants to prevent the sale of fake pills.
September 11, 2012 – The proprietary Viagra pill that the Government Pharmaceutical Organization is set to market is available only with a doctor's prescription from 350 certified pharmacies, state and private hospitals and clinics. The pill contains the ingredient sildenafil, which is normally prescribed to heart patients. It has also been shown to be effective for erection problems and is sold under several brand names, including Viagra.
A 100 mg tablet will cost 45 baht at the GPO and a 50 mg 25 baht. According to GPO director Witit Artavatkun, the GPO does not violate any patents with the production. The pill has been tested for two years, including double-blind testing on 30 people.

Sidraga (50 or 100) can be bought without a prescription at the pharmacy at a very low price.
Yes that is a good price, hope it has the same effect as cialis 20.mg that are for sale in Thailand for 4 pills you pay there for 2100 THB.
and is available with and without a prescription at the pharmacy,
Greetings
Pascal
Sidegra never heard of it.
Kamagra does. For sale under the counter at every pharmacy in PTY.
50 sachets of gel for between THB 2000 and 3000.
Operation is excellent. For some not the first dose but after that 'great'
Sidegra is sold in Pattaya at the doctor's offices… Just go in and ask for the product… both 50 and 100 mg are sold there.
The 50 and the 100 are both sold for 400 baht ... actually it is cheaper with the 100 mg box because you can divide those pills and then you have more ... but of 50 mg. Several pharmacies also offer it, but it is often counterfeit!!
Pascal Chian Mai: Sidegra (sildenafil; same as Revatio and Viagra) is NOT the same as Cialis!!!! That consists of tadalafil. This works longer and is therefore also called the weekend pill among doctors. A third pill is Levitra (vardenafil) from Bayer. These are easier than a stick (Muse {alprostadil} from Meda Pharma) and an injection fluid such as Androskat from Nyocomed (phentolamine/papaverine). I also find that quite a hassle. The following applies everywhere: take/apply well in advance if you know that a sexual encounter will occur for the best result (about an hour). The fact remains that all drugs have a long list of side effects and that there are also quite a few contraindications. indications (i.e. where it is better not to use the drug).
