Dear readers,

Is it possible to transfer money to the Netherlands, with TransferWise or Azimo?

I don't see any options so far.

Regards,

Wayan

We simply transferred our Thai baht spring 2016 back to our ING account via BangkokBank.
We were a bit unlucky, because the course was a bit unfavorable at the time. Around 38b/€. But you can't have everything because we have also experienced 34b/€.
Go to your BKB branch on time. Make sure you connect with a higher-in-“rank” through the person you most frequently met at the counter during all of your banking. Discuss your plans and make an appointment during which there is ample time to explain your intentions. It is important that you provide insight into where your money comes from. Our baht came from a sale of our property plus contents. All in all a solid amount. This amount was taken in 4 servings over 4 days. Costs BKB negligible. ING also did not charge any costs. On the last day, bring a gift for the BKB employee. Cultivate goodwill. For next farang.
When the second tranche was sent, a colleague thought he should interfere and put bears on the road. Thai like to show each other that they know better. Fortunately, this one was shown her place with a hefty snarl.

if you have an account in Thailand, you probably also have a debit card from the relevant bank.
You can also use this to pin in the Netherlands.
    Like I did

Record something every now and then and it also saves on your wealth tax!!

    Good luck !!

The wealth tax was abolished in 2001. Since that time you have to pay income tax on a fictitious return on your bank balances – also on a Thai bank. Unless you conceal its existence, of course….

If you have deregistered from the Netherlands and your country of residence is Thailand, you do not pay any tax on assets in the Netherlands. It is also not requested in your digital declaration. You must pay close attention when choosing the digital declaration.

    Download the DeeMoney app.

Booked today (working day), tomorrow on your account in NED. Great rate and low cost.

      Hi Mike.
Can you elaborate on this advice a bit more?
For example, the amount you want to transfer to NL, how does DeeMoney obtain that, or do you use the app to debit something from your account at, for example, Bangkok Bank to DeeMoney and from DeeMoney to your account in NL?
In short, you have cash or bank balance in a Thai bank account and want an amount to your NL account. What are the steps to take. How does the rate of DeeMoney differ from the rate for a booking by e.g. Bangkok Bank, what are the costs? etc. Thanks in advance.

I have transferwise and was able to transfer an amount from my Bangkok Bank via my Thai credit card from the Bangkok Bank as a test. At Transferwise I have an account that runs through them and can be traced back to a Belgian bank. You can then simply transfer money to any account in Europe via Transferwise. I do think you need that credit card and that's the hard part if you don't have it yet. It took me almost three months to get it and now I have two!

I have a bank account at Kasikornbank with a K+ card.
I can simply pay for everything via the K+ phone app as well as transfer money from Thailand to a Dutch bank account. Transferring from a Dutch account to a Thai account is also no problem.
Sometimes the transfer is already done after a few hours.
    Greetings.

    Christ.
