Dear readers,

A colleague of mine advised me to watch Dutch television in Thailand with an Andriod TV box and install Kodi software in it.

My question is is this allowed, because I don't want to do anything illegal?

Who has experience with that?

Regards,

huub

Have good experience with a legal TV box from Udonthani. Can see all European channels without a subscription. Also the many Fox sports channels.

      Henry,
I don't believe it is legal. Those channels cost money. Not that it matters to me, anyway.

      But is it also legal?

I also live in Thailand and have bought a box through a man in Udon Thani that allows me to watch a few hundred channels free of charge. Am very satisfied with it.

I bought such a box myself (Venz), with the Kodi software on it. The only thing that's legal about it is the legal currency that I paid for it. To feel on the clogs, because you watch without any membership (after all, as a citizen and taxpayer you look at NPO or as a resident of NL, where RTL cs are "radiated" to their advertising, while they have only bought the rights for that NLe area.
The Germans screen with their “dubbed in German, so only understandable by Germans”….
The system only works on the basis of: what others have put on that network, so eg programs from NPO. so illegal.
Finding out how that thing really works... I haven't succeeded after years of totally NOT fanatical searching.

However, I do not expect Buma Stemra to go to the houses in Pattaya or Isaan to see who is illegally watching the NPO cs.

With Eurotv you get all Dutch, Flemish and some other channels on your computer and that is enough for me; costs 620 bpm.

An important addition is that with EuroTV you can watch with a delay of up to 14 days, which is very handy because of the time difference (you can also watch live). And you can also pay with PayPal!
I have EuroTV running on an Androidbox and on my laptop.
Of course I also have Kodi running on the Androidbox. For “laymen” it is more convenient to purchase a pre-installed Android box. Look for this in the user groups on Facebook, for example, sufficient configurations are offered.

For the technical people among the readers: You can also buy a raspberry pi (a credit size computer board), via lazada bv, and install OS libreelec bv. check out the tutorials online. Then you have kodi and you can stream everything (films, series, radio, tv, you tube, etc.) from the internet or from a local hard disc, but use a vpn. possibly expand with hifi berry, then you also have super sound. all together for less than 100 euros. If necessary, I can also assemble it all so that it is ready for use, and possibly with monthly remote maintenance, (I've been figuring it all out myself, and can help others who want to: [email protected] )

If you happen to live or come near Jomtien, go to the Eaglebar, Soi 5, Jomtien and ask for Rens Koekebakker there, who can help you with live TV, via Kodi, with all channels live from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, etc., also all sports channels live, more than 1000 channels, all for free.

You can also easily install Kodi software on your PC under Windows 10. An HDMI cable from PC to TV. No box needed

  13. Robert says up

we use EuroTv and only need an hdmi cable through my ipad or iphone and
have all Dutch Belgian German channels and costs per 6.500 years and works perfectly.

I can give you all the info later on who to approach for details. He lives in Pattaya and
very reliable. I have known him for 25 years and very helpful

Let me know if you want more info
