Last year my brother passed away in the Netherlands. In 2014, he had a will made at a law firm in Jomtien. I now have a death certificate legalized in the Netherlands, through court-sworn translator-embassy Thailand.

Does anyone know about the roadmap to convert his real estate and movable property to another name? It would also be nice if someone knows the approximate cost per action?

I was told that it must be settled within a year of death and that the property must first be put in my name and only then in another name. Does that mean that you have to pay transfer costs twice at Landoffice?

    We do a lot with wills and their execution, including putting them in the name, etc.

    You are named in a will in Thailand???, who is the executor. That's really important.
    If that's a lawyer then you can brace yourself I think. Lawyers in the city itself are always much more expensive than outside. Some require 10 to 20% of the total property or value.

    I can give you all the target prices somewhat, but then you just have to email me. My wife makes wills, goes to court and is a court translator. At the moment everything has been moved to court due to corona, so it will not be dealt with until next year. There is no time limit in the transfer, that is not a problem.
