Dear readers,

Would like to know if it is easy to withdraw money on arrival at Bangkok airport?

Because it is my first time to Thailand I would like to know.

All info is welcome.

Best regards,

Henk

Hello Henk, yes you can withdraw money very easily at the airport in bangkok,
right behind passport control there you run into exchange offices and there are ATMs there., but look carefully at those offices for the exchange rate, usually in the airport they are not so favorable., good luck

You can easily withdraw money at the airport. You can't possibly miss the vending machines.
They are located just about everywhere in the arrivals hall.
Make sure you don't only have 1000 Baht notes (so don't include a round number or exchange a note) if you still need to take a taxi. They usually don't have enough change. (or claim not to have)

You can of course also exchange cash and here too the range of exchange offices is sufficient.
However, exchanging a large sum of money is not recommended given the unfavorable exchange rate at the airport. Change what you think you need to get through the first few hours for a taxi or to buy some fresh or snacks along the way if you still have a long way to go.
Upon arrival at your place of residence, there are certainly exchange offices that give a better rate than the airport.

    Have fun during your stay.

You can easily withdraw money in Bangkok, there are money offices in every street and at the airport too, but you get a little less money there.

Change as little as possible you get a bad exchange rate sometimes 2 baht less than outside the airport. Also take a look at the non-bank exchange offices, they usually give 1/2 to 1 bath more than the bank exchange offices.

Yes, you can easily withdraw or exchange money at the airport in Bangkok. However, it is more expensive than exchanging money at a Thai bank. Do not change money in the Netherlands, because that is expensive. Have fun in Thailand.

Yes, there are several banks at the airport where you can exchange and/or withdraw money.
But I wonder why don't you take some Thai bath from your own bank here in the Netherlands for your own convenience?
You can simply order it from your own bank, and after 3 working days you can pick it up, then you already have something in your pocket for your first need there.
Also check with your own bank whether your bank card is not blocked for use outside Europe, otherwise you will be in Thailand and you will not be able to receive money yet.
It can also be good to have several bank or credit cards with you, because not all bank cards are accepted everywhere.
Good luck and have a pleasant time in Thailand.

    Hank,

There is hardly any problem in Thailand to withdraw money by ATM.
Even in the most insignificant town / village there are ATMs.

Usually the maximum amount is 10.000 baht (250 euros).

There are plenty of ATMs at the airport, but make sure your debit card is activated for withdrawals outside Europe.
You can easily turn this on and off.
Debit cards have recently become standard for use within Europe.
    This is to prevent misuse.

No problem anywhere there ... there are many ATMs throughout Thailand, including at the airport

Dear Henk, exchange a small amount at the airport because the rate you get there is lower than .eg. in bangkok.mgv kees

It is possible, but you must inform your bank that you are going to Thailand, otherwise you cannot withdraw money there
