Reader question: Is a Covid-19 test free for Thai?
Dear readers,
Is the covid-60 test free for an older Thai 19+ or do they have to pay for it themselves? I ask this because I have to go to the hospital on 04-08-2020 to pick up my medication for 6 months. Also, I should probably get my annual flu vaccine as well. The hospital will probably also take a Covid19 test from me, despite the fact that I have no complaints. I am 78 years old.
My Thai girlfriend also comes along, also gets the flu vaccine (I pay for it). My suspicion is that the doctor will also say that she should also do a Covid19 test. She is 64 years old. Does she have to pay for it herself, or is it free for the Thai, even if she has no symptoms?
For me, my ZKV has already issued the bank guarantee to the hospital.
Regards,
Hans
Normally no Covid tests are taken, unless there is a reason for this (e.g. recently had close contact with a covid patient. If you decide to have a test yourself, you will have to pay the costs yourself
So it's easy that you have almost no covid 19 patients
If the doctor. asks the Thai given your age, it is better to do a Covid19 test.
Still paying yourself?
Hans
My wife and children have now had a corona test twice in the quarantine hotel.
Dear Jan, that is included in the all-in price you pay, I assume. Las somewhere 36.000 THB for 2 weeks Hotel including food?
