Dear readers,

At the beginning of July I was finally able to fly back to the Netherlands, my flight in June was canceled due to the corona crisis. I go every year for at least 4 months because of insurance and state pension, but now that I want to go back I see some difficulties.

So it says on the embassy's site that you must have a hotel reservation in one of the specified hotels, so you also have to pay for it?

Do you also have to show a flight ticket reservation which I suspect you also have to pay first?

My visa is still valid until November 14, so that's not a problem, but you also have to take a test 72 hours before departure, which shows that you are not a carrier of the virus, and that now seems difficult to me since the capacity to test is no longer sufficient and you sometimes have to wait 48 hours, add the examination time of the test and you may get the result after another 48 hours if you already have it.

I'm afraid that all my money for hotel and ticket has been spent for nothing because within 72 hours before departure that will never work again.

Would like to hear from others how they view this and if I might be seeing it wrong?

Regards,

Thomas

The GGD does not carry out tests with an English-language entry declaration.
You have to pay for those tests, around 100 euros, and the results are a lot faster. Google it.
    This is one of them:https://coronalab.eu/reisadvies/
I also thought that anyone who wants to travel must pass through the Thai embassy. Even if your visa is still valid.
Today, by the way, it seems that something is coming towards long-stayers. I hope so.
