Reader Question: Emirates Economy 777 vs 380
Dear readers,
Emirates Economy 777 vs 380. Who has experience with both Emirates planes? Is there a big difference in terms of comfort?
Regards,
Mike
The airbus 380 is much bigger and has better seats. A fantastic plane that in my opinion is the best in the world! I really like the Emirates.
With a 380 you are more spacious than with the 777 economy is my experience and I regularly fly with emirates
We think the A380 flies better, quieter.
Larger TV and wider seats.
So more comfort.
there is little difference in terms of service, have flown with both types to Bangkok from Dusseldorf, last 5 years we fly 380 which is great if you book in the front behind the pilots, we book the same seats every year, namely row 51D and 51E behind us, no one is a walkway and legroom of 34 inches
Yes, the 380 seat is slightly roomier, the screens are better, and the 380 is just more modern.
I would not hesitate for a moment and choose the A380, much more comfortable than the 777, much more space and an experience to fly with it anyway. I knew it.
Yes, I fly both and the 777 are a bit dated, better with the A380
You can find all the info on SeatGuru.com. This shows that the seats in the 380 are 1 inch wider than in the 777.
If indeed you have the choice between an Emirates A 380 or a 777, I would choose the A 380 without hesitation. Significantly quieter, and slightly roomier than the 777.
The 777 is less comfortable in terms of seat/leg room compared to the A380. Fly regularly with Emirates and the A380 is very comfortable in terms of sitting. Especially over long distances. You can see the seats on seatguru. Very handy.
I myself will fly with the new A350-900 with Thai Airways, in June 2020. Before that I have always flown with the 777-300, and 1 time with the boeing 747-700 of Cjina airways.
The new A350-900 has better legroom.
Good luck with your choice!!
I have the choice for the A380 instead of the 777
Only the additional cost is €200 pp (2 persons)
Unfortunately, it concerns the expensive December month
Normally I always fly with the A380 but in December…..
Hence the question about the 777
I personally think so, having flown both the A380 and the 777 last year. Although the space in the 380 is better, the seats in the 777 were more comfortable for me. My back started to bother me in the 380. The service in the 380 was disastrous. It was proudly announced that the crew consisted of 23 nationalities, the miscommunication as a result was terrible. Getting coffee before the meal was even served, this was both on the outward and return journey. There was continuous mutual consultation, and people seemed to not understand each other sufficiently. I didn't have this problem on the 777, but no more Emirates for me.
The A380 is always better than the 777, more comfortable and quieter. Both business and economy are much better and cheaper than Thai airways.
The 777 is one of the least comfortable aircraft I have ever flown, and you have to explain to me what is "better" about Emirates than Thai Airways, they can be cheaper but I am happy to pay a little more for a direct flight and the seats in the A350 are as comfortable as in the A380. On the A380 the service is worse because they employ relatively fewer staff and you have to wait longer for everything (bringing and clearing away food, among other things) and I haven't even mentioned the fact that you have to wait much longer for your luggage upon arrival. wait. No, then I would indeed be happy to pay a little more. I flew in the Emirates A380 because I also wanted to fly in that mega thing for once, it really isn't necessary for me anymore.
Both are fine for traveling, but the 380 has more legroom than the 777. Otherwise, check seatguru for the best seats. The 380 is more likely to have empty seats because the aircraft is larger.
