Life insurance in Thailand?
Dear readers,
I am looking for life savings insurance in Thailand, have already consulted your database but found nothing, although I read something in the past that members on this blog have taken out life insurance in banking but cannot find it.
Can someone help me further and provide me with a copy of this life insurance deed (s) I have already consulted several banks in my village (still years behind this) so that I can show them that there is indeed such a thing with regard to life insurance (and)
thanks in advance
Regards,
Ludo (BE)
You are not dependent on the banking system for a life insurance policy. The largest in this field is Thai Life, with various forms in the program.
Agree with Cornelis's suggestion. I have a life insurance policy with Thai Life for my child.
Why not Aa insurance consulted in hua hin. Are advertiser here.
thought this broker has no life insurance, but asked for info
If you type the name of a bank into Google followed by life insurance, you will get all the information you want. My wife has various savings life insurance policies, including with the SCB bank.
FDW formerly the Dutch ING can be found in every major city.
Dear ludo,
I wrote a post on this subject in the past. I also have experience with such a 'Life Savings Insurance'. The best thing you can do is send me your email address (because the editors don't) to [email protected].
I can then put you in touch with my (ex) stepdaughter who sells these insurance policies on behalf of AXA and the Krungthai Bank in Bangkok. She can inform you free of charge, help you and, if desired, take out such insurance now or later. That does not commit you to anything. And then you have all the information from the 1st hand!
@Ludo: please note, my e-mail address contains an Underscore between paco and pep!
Dear ludo,
What is that?
Life savings insurance?
It doesn't exist.
Just ask AA insurance:
[email protected]
Regards, Ser.
see my comment below. It is a life insurance (ie death insurance) that pays out a sum in the event of death before the agreed termination date of the insurance AND a savings component (which is therefore not an insurance policy, but simply a piggy bank). They have existed for a hundred years and until twenty years ago were simply linked to the financing of a house as standard. At maturity and survival you received the piggy bank with which you paid the debt to the insurance or bank and in the event of death before that time you received the death benefit with which you did the same.
A 'life savings account' may not exist with AA, but this by no means means that it does not exist with other companies. For example, SCB, like Thai Life, offers the following formula:
choice between a term of 7 or 14 years.
Annual investment of your choice with a minimum of 167.000THB/y (SCB) 221.000THB/y (Thai Life)
Free choice of beneficiary in case of death of the subscriber
At the end of the term, respectively 8 or 15 years, the final sum will be paid out with the interest, optionally extending or withdrawing. In the event of death before the end time, the full final sum, i.e. own contribution + interest, is paid to the beneficiary and that is then the corresponding life insurance policy. The interest is approximately 4%/year net.
I think you can call such a formula life savings insurance or do you have another name for it? It should be noted that this type of account cannot be used for immigration purposes.
Before you go any further, it seems useful to think carefully about why you want to take out such an insurance policy. In principle, such insurance consists of two parts. One part is a life insurance policy and the other part is a piggy bank. The older you are, the larger the part of your premium that goes to the death part. Taking out this insurance to have a pot on the payment date is not attractive at a higher age, say after 50 years, because the part that goes to the death premium is so high that your payment at the end is lower than the premiums you have paid.
Therefore, first think very carefully about what you want: money upon death or money upon survival.
Annual deposit at Thai Life 221.000 Baht!
Then you have already paid for your own cremation in the first year.
The following years of "saving" will then only be profit for yourself.
No so-called extra costs for management and a hefty premium to the “manager” when paid out.
After 10 years you can even buy a nice house / condo!
At a low bath rate you can use dollars. buy euros.
Buy back the bath at a high bath rate that also comes again!
Quite an option to think about.
