Dear readers,

Hello! I'm Greet and I'm on vacation with my brother at his resort in Bangsaray. Unfortunately only for two weeks.

Here was a lady who had a lens implant done here in Thailand in a hospital in Bang Na. Unfortunately we don't have the address. Maybe someone knows that hospital or, even better, maybe someone has had it done before?

Then please the experience with it and, also good to know, the price for it.

Thanks in advance,

greeting

I had surgery on the right eye in December and the left eye in February to have new lenses put in, the operation is a piece of cake, half an hour after the operation I drove home with my motorcycle. Location: Chiang Mai Hospital in Chiang Mai, costs approx. 41.000 Bath per eye. I'm only sorry I didn't do it sooner. What a luxury to be able to see and do everything without glasses

Most "international" hospitals in BKK offer all kinds of eye treatments such as laser, I assume also lens implants.
I usually go to Yanhee hospital myself

    Dear Regards,

The only hospital I can think of is the internationally renowned Thainakarin.
It is located about 300 meters from central Bangna on trad.road Bangna. They have many specialists in the various disciplines there.
You can go there for information (or information via the internet). The doctors there all speak several languages, including English.

    Good luck

Will probably have been the Rutnin eye hospital in Bangkok, that is a hospital only for eyes and very specialist, I have good experience with it myself. You can find it on the website of the hospital and make an appointment there. Good luck.

    Best Regards,
My wife had implants placed 11 years ago, both eyes at once, in the Bangkok hospital in Pattaya.
Dr. Somchai is a skilled doctor and the aftercare was also perfect, at the time the costs were about 140 thousand, I don't know what the prices are now.
She is still very satisfied, everything looks good and no complaints.

    Best of luck!

I have had implants for years and a world opened up for me; so
    to your complete satisfaction.
3 options: for farsighted, for nearsighted and both.

Dr. Somchai is located in Jomtien; formerly BP hospital, but now started his own clinic.
    with VR. greeting

Now I wear (loose) lenses myself, but are they easily available at the optician, for example in Thailand?

Everything is available in Thailand… it used to be definitely cheaper….now because of the low Euro that is a bit less certain… but you don't have to worry about that. Lenses are available here in all sizes and colors.

Thank you for your message and I will bring my lenses codes. I wonder what the difference in price is.

I just came back from a lens implantation on both eyes at the same time from Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok,
with a night's stay in hospital including a hotel room. Costs 140.000.- all inclusive. Perhaps expensive but very good treatment, doctors speak fluent English and nurses reasonable.
Don't have to wear glasses anymore, Ideal.
