Reader question: Looking for lamps from Koh Lanta

Dear readers,

In December I went to Koh Lanta. There they had very nice lamps hanging on the beach. I didn't think of taking one home at the time, something I now regret.

The lamp resembles a kind of bird cage with a white sheet over it. I've already scoured the internet but can't find this lamp. Is there anyone who is still leaving for Thailand and wants to take this lamp for me or have it sent to me on the spot? I still have some Baht here, so that's no problem.

Or are these lamps available somewhere in the Netherlands? I hope for a response, thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Armande

I also searched for it and found it at Xenos, but it was a few years ago so I don't know if they still have them.

    Dear Armand,
Friday I leave for Krabi, a stone's throw from Koh Lanta. I'd be happy to take a look for you and then send it to you, provided you can provide me with a photo, otherwise I might not recognize them.
My email address is [email protected].
    Regards, Martin.

    Hello Amanda,
These lamps are actually fish traps that they come in different sizes.
They also use the so-called rooster cage for this, a room for the fighting cocks.
They then cover it with all kinds of fabrics to use as a lamp…
    Regards,
    Frank
