Is there more to do in Khao Sok than the 2-day to the lake? Can you do this tour on your own? Are three nights in Khao Sok enough?

Certainly there is more to do, just take a look at: http://khaosoklake.com. We have booked the 'safari' here, but private.
Earlier we made a combination; with a visit to the lake: two nights in a floating bamboo house; truly a piece of paradise! With a guide we also visited a beautiful cave, we looked for animals and once on land we made another jungle trekking. Because this was a few years ago, I unfortunately do not remember the company with whom we booked this.
You can do all this alone, of course with a guide / driver of your boat. Only I would never recommend; it is so vast that even on the water you can easily get lost and you can no longer reach your phone.
I think three nights are enough because our body can no longer handle this?… you really sleep on a mat or hard mattress.
