Dear readers,

With a view to a trip to Thailand next February, I would like to know if the Hua Lamphong station is still in operation. Maybe everything has moved to Bang Sue grand station by now? The internet doesn't help me much.

Maybe also a tip about how Bang Sue -besides taxi- is best reached from Phra Athit (Khao San).

Thanks for help!

Regards,

Toine

We left 3 weeks ago by train to Korat from hua lampong.
    It's just open

Been to bang sue grand station a day before.
This was still closed to train traffic.

Arrived there by train from Ayutthaya a week and a half ago. That trip of about 72 kilometers cost 15 Baht.

Only heard this morning at GMT until the end of December, everything will continue to run via Hua Lamphong. From January 1, the trains with class and sleeping cars will depart from Bang Sue, these are the express trains and over great distances. THE slow trains that do the shorter journeys continue to run from Hua Lamphong.
