Thank you all for the various responses to my questions regarding reporting to immigration.

I have another question regarding the form, when filling in the reason why you are requesting an extension, what is given as a reason?

Don't make a big deal out of that. 'Extension of vacation' is always correct.

“Study Buddism” used to be a very often used reason. Now any reason can be used, indeed “extension vacation” perfect.
