How can I withdraw more than 10.000 baht at an ATM?
Dear readers,
We have noticed that we cannot withdraw more than 10.000 Baht at a time at the ATM. And every time have to pay 220 Baht commission. Both with ING and ABN-AMRO card. Is this the case everywhere? Do you have advice?
Are there more favorable places where you can record more at a time?
Regards,
Elsja & Sanatan
Check the height of your limit.
Currently, Thb 10.000 is already almost € 300
You can make more debit card payments at TMB bank Central Plaza Changrai. 2x 30.000 baht is possible, provided you have enough in your account of course, and with a Visa Card. ABN AMRO or ING the maximum is always 10.000 baht. That is our experience.
No, you can withdraw a maximum of 30.000 baht with both abn and ing, provided your withdrawal limit is high enough and foreign payments.
However, it also depends on the price whether you can pin the maximum.
So you should also keep an eye on that.
My experience is that not every bank lets you withdraw 30.000 baht, but Krungsri does.
ATM at a bank, pin at the moment 18000bath
This is thanks to Dutch banks that reduced the withdrawal limit to Eur 250 from Eur 500 a few years ago, supposedly because of security.
Many have protested and I myself have even asked the Radar program to pay attention to this, to no avail
Holidaymakers and pensioners in particular are the victims of this, but no body in the Netherlands has a message about this.
It is therefore best to bring cash, you also get a better rate.
Still check the bank, I can withdraw 500,00 euros per day.
correct, just take cash with you and exchange it, see what exchange rate they use, but then you can take a lot of money with you without too much cost and you don't have to use a pin
Take an account with the KNAB! Set foreign use. Set the daily limit at your own discretion. Pin at TMB (or other bank that gives 30.000 at a time). You can withdraw 30.000 at a time. Do not convert! The KNAB app shows you the course. Exchange rate mark-up only 0,5% on book-entry mid exchange rate. Withdrawal costs nil! At ING, the exchange rate surcharge is 1,1% and the withdrawal costs are 2,25 per withdrawal, with a maximum of 500 euros per withdrawal.
Per withdrawal of 30000 baht, that saves no less than about 10 euros!!!!
Knab informs you almost immediately of the depreciation and confirms the exchange rate used.
TMB's proposal with direct conversion is a proposal to voluntarily allow yourself to be robbed. If you agree to this (possibly accidentally) you will spend approximately 8% more than necessary. It is funny to know that ThaiMilitary Bank TMB is 25% owned by ING. I also (necessarily) have an ING account, but I transfer it to KNAB first. It really saves me too much.
With Mastercard Visa Amexco you can withdraw more THB at a time. I myself have Mastercard and I can withdraw 20.000 THB at a time, after which I have to wait 4 days for the next withdrawal. Basically slightly more cost but better exchange rate. Never take the proposed conversion rate – which appears on the ATM of the relevant bank!
If you withdraw money with Mastercard, you pay more costs, so that remains the same. Recording more costs higher.
For example, limit can be set at ING up to 500 euros….
So as Bert says the price is now quite high
I was able to withdraw 18000 baht yesterday, so just withdraw a lower amount than 20000 baht
Succes
Look for an ATM of the AEON bank.
Limit 20.000 Baht. Provision 150 Baht.
And if Bert indicates that your foreign withdrawal limit is higher than €500!
Have fun in Thailand.
That is because, for example, 20.000 B is more than 500 euros, so most Ned. banks don't allow that. The limit for foreign debit card payments can often not be increased either. Sometimes, for example, 15.000B pins work. Do not allow conversion !
Correct response. The amount to be withdrawn from a Thai ATM depends on the one hand on the maximum daily limit of the Dutch bank card, usually € 500,= and this cannot be increased, and on the other hand on the limit at the ATM of the local Thai bank, often 'only' 10.000 Baht at a time. At an ATM from Aeon it is almost always possible to withdraw cash up to a value of € 500, but there are very few ATMs from Aeon to be found. Piet says in his response above that he had withdrawn 18.000 Baht yesterday, but he failed to mention the name of the bank and that was precisely the question. Now that actually doesn't say much because at one machine of, for example, Kasikorn Bank you can withdraw more than 10.000 Baht and not at the other. So try it out, you have a good chance at a Bangkok Bank machine. At the current rate, which also takes into account the withdrawal costs of the Thai bank of usually 220 Baht, the maximum will be 17.000 Baht. By the way, with a credit card you have a better chance of being able to withdraw a higher amount or to withdraw an amount at the counter of a bank. With a positive balance on your credit card, the costs can also be lower. In Pattaya Jomtien, I have withdrawn 40.000 Baht with my ANWB Visa card at a manned mobile 'bank bus', I don't remember the name of the bank. But that aside, that wasn't the question. Good luck.
you can withdraw 500 euros per day, with a regular debit card; at most, so try to withdraw 17000 baht, then the commission will keep you below 500 per day
There are also other ATMs where you can withdraw higher amounts.
Only if you are talking about a daily limit, your home bank may have set this Limit.
Many banks have this Limit, to prevent fraud outside the EU as much as possible.
It is best if you personally visit your house bank before your holiday, so that they release your credit card in a higher Limit.
Another alternative is to take cash with you, where you have a higher risk of a possible theft or loss, but on the other hand you save the 220 baht every time, and you also expect a better rate for large notes. can.
Smart trick from the Thai banks, which you can easily circumvent.
as follows:
Insert card, pin code and choose the English language.
Choose withdrawl
Then a screen will appear with possible amounts from which you can choose
Most ATMs do indeed indicate 10.000 THB as the maximum.
Here you choose other amount.
then type in the desired number of bats.
Mind you, most Dutch bank cards have a limit of € 500.00
depending on the exchange rate, this is currently around 18.000 THB

Hey, you can withdraw 20000 baht at once at the ÆON machines, and they only charge 150 baht.
An Æon vending machine can be found in Bangkok in the Big C Radjadamri road (praunam) and also in the Department store in the Chacabronse road close to Khaosan rd.
Greetings Werner
Hello Elsja. This week I pinned my ATM at Villa Market and was able to withdraw 15.000. At ABN, the limit outside Europe is 500 euros.
today 19-01-2019
ABN=AMRO
20000 baht withdrawn from the yellow Krungi ATM machine 568 euros my limit increases to 600 euros but I had already done that at home.
You can withdraw 7 THB from the yellow Krungsibank devices (often at 30.000 elevens). all others 20.000 Thb
With NL ING card in TH:
At every ATM in Thailand (if of course your balance in NL is sufficient) at the moment 17.500 baht per day. Calculated costs here are 220 baht (are also deducted at the same time, so you take 17.720), and ING also calculates about 6 euros per transaction.
That concludes my answer to your question and my experience to date.
In this respect, let's hope that the euro does not sink further.
Received 50.000 baht for 1000 euros when I came here, dropped to 3 until 40.000 years ago and now 10% less.
Otherwise, it's fun. Received more than 40.000 euros for 1100 bath
Can you say: yes, what is 10%? Well... if your boss says that you have to go back to work after New Year's Eve on January 2, OR that you don't have to go back to work until mid-February. THAT'S 10%
Yes, yes I know. makes no sense in this case. But true.
Regards KhunBram.
Now, for 5 years I have been able to withdraw 3 bath with my 20000 BNP Paribas bank cards and also with my visa card and with my 2 beo cards and with my 2 buyway cards (makro cards). At any machine. Nowadays costs are 220 baht per time. But of course these are all cards from Belgium. For bank cards, you must of course let us know in advance that you will be using them in Thailand. In connection with the rate, I have never actually looked at that and will certainly do so next time, because I read above that you should not agree with their proposed rate. I wonder what will happen if I answer no.

Very simple André if you do not accept the Thai bank conversion rate you will get the rate that your home bank uses and it is always better.. remember Thai bank rate from ATM and check your bank statement and be happy
Definitely check your limit. Withdrawing up to the equivalent of 500 euros at a time is never a problem with the ING card. At the current rate it is approximately THB 18.000.
There are several ATMs where you can withdraw 20.000 baht, but it does indeed depend on the NLse bank limit.
ING 500 euros for outside Europe/outside NL.
ABNAMRO is now standard ??? at 300 euros for outside Europe it seems, but I was able to increase this to 2016 or 600 in 700, I seem to remember. In any case, I was able to withdraw 2016 baht from SCB bank (Siam Commercial Bank) in March 20.000, at a rate of just under 36 baht, which was around 560 euros. I was just trying to check this, but that abnamro page seems to be down right now
Pinning at Bangkok Bank atm is a maximum of 25000 thb at a time, as with most atms, it might be useful to take rabo because I have no problems
I use my VISA Card for this. I have a VISA CARD GOLD at ICS. I transfer money monthly to this VISA account, and can withdraw it at Krungsri's ATM. I can withdraw 30.000 Bth per transaction, I don't know what the limit is of VISA. But I can certainly do 3×30.000. recording per day. The cost for 30.000 Bth. is: 200 Bth commission ATM, Euro 1.50 Visa, and a cover fee of 1.5%
I used to be able to withdraw money at the bank with the CARD (so I avoided the 200 Bth ATM Fee), but since a pin code is necessary this is no longer possible.
Make sure you have enough money in your VISA account, otherwise VISA charges a very high interest.
I was with ABN Amro and had the same problem and ABN also charges debit card costs. I am now with Rabobank and have a total package and can double debit card payments and Rabobank does not charge any extra costs.
Take a closer look at TRANSFERWISE BORDERLOUS ACCOUNT with Debit Card, you can purchase in advance if the rate is favorable with a surcharge that is lower than the banks. With ATM use no costs on the first 200 pounds sterling per month then 2%, instead of cash from the ATM you can then use the card at many shops, restaurants etc etc.
Take a DEBIT card, make sure there is enough on it and you can withdraw 20.000 THB everywhere.
I have received a nuisance payment of 5 baths 10000 times. That was the max I could pick up that day
The more money you have in your pocket, the more risk that something will happen to it, but you might want to bring two bank cards from different accounts.
I can withdraw 20.000 thb per day at abn, always been like this since I come to Thailand every year in 2015
