Home » Reader question » Reader question: Who knows a guesthouse in Khon Kaen where I can also fish nearby?
Dear readers,
I am looking for a nice guesthouse in Khon Kaen for a month. From the beginning of September to the middle of October. I like to fish, so I'm looking for something near fishing waters, or easy to get to.
Maybe someone knows something nice and not too expensive?
Thank you in advance.

at bankok hospital and bmw garage towards the airport just behind 2 gas station on the left = about 800 meters from bmw after 500 meters you come to a large lake, follow left next to more than after 100 meters is a small hotel just sleeping tv kettle microwave oven and bath about 400 bath per night or 4000 bath per month
good luck fons khon kaen
Fons do you also know the name of the hotel? Or address? Gr Ynze tjerk
take a look http://www.tulip-thailand.com
50 km outside KK is the Ubon rat with a great large lake / fishing water more up country, so very affordable, take a look around, rent a taxi from KK for a day, Google Ubonrat Dam.
Don't ask me anything else about fishing, don't know anything about it.
My wife has a resort (with swimming pool) just outside Khon Kaen: Baan Suan Siriphon Resort in Khon Kaen.
You can also see the details on Bookings.com.
There is fishing water close by.
Price for 1 month is 7000 baht excluding water and electricity.
She can be reached on tel. 0868547798 or 0624945195
Or via my email: [email protected]
My wife does give me the address of a fishing club, Sinaun Fishing Club, just south of KK:

Whether you can also sleep in the area, no idea. But if no one has a better tip, hopefully this will help you on your way.
At 4km is a hotel, Pratunam hotel Khon Kaen: http://www.ptnkkhotel.com
On my motorbike tours from Udonthani I once drove to Pattaya 2. No similarity whatsoever with the "real" Pattaya. It is a beautiful pond not too far from Khon Kaen and I have no idea whether the distance from KK can be an issue and whether there are accommodation options on site.
Have fun!!!
And then you can also fish every day (and take 3 kg) at Khon Kaen Fishery. Not far from KK, the address is Bandangklang Tambol Banto, Amphur Phra Yuen Khon Kean.

There is another place nearby. My wife could not find a guesthouse or hotel.
Thank you all for the responses. I can do something with this.
